Ooh I say, still at least June Brown is still going somehow, I thought Leonard Fenton looked a lot healthier than June when he returned a few years ago so you never know, shame as he was a good actor RIP Leonard

What a strange selection of people, from household names to the obscure. I've never heard of Peter Guinness, and his filmography doesn't suggest that I should have. I see he's married to Roberta Taylor though, so maybe there was a two for one deal on talking heads?

Probably because  they were all Labour party members. I know Prunella and Timothy at least used to be.

Well yes, I get that you'd use party supporters, but it suggests they might have been struggling for volunteers if they were including relative nobodies to somehow persuade the public of the merits of Gordon Brown. Why should anyone give a toss about who Gina Gold from The Bill votes for?

Peter Dean b. 1939

Peter Dean did make it to Leonard Fentons funeral, looking like, well a man aged 82.

Chap on the right is Tom Watt aka Lofty though, who is aging quite badly imo. He's 65 and that's the most flattering photo the Mail had.

Another gone from Take the High Road as John Stahl (Inverdarroch/Tom Kerr) has died.

Think he was in Game of Thrones as well?

Daily Record says 68. STV says 69.

Everywhere online has him down as born in 1953 in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire.

There are no males by the surname of "STAHL" born in Scotland between 1951 and 1954 according to a search on Scotland's People.

Stage name?

Likely

Reading BBC I think he got married last month- so probably a medical condition led up to this.

This is an absolute  long shot but also I would say noteworthy for deadpoolers.

American soap Queen  Linda Gray  who played Sue Ellen in the legendary soap   Dallas is selling up her home  in California after living there for fifty years-most of her  adult life.

Purely speculative on my part that it could be health related or prompted  by a decline in her physical wellbeing. Could be entirely unconnected and it is very possible she has many happy years ahead of her in perhaps  a more manageable property.

But from a deadpooling perspective  I felt it was noteworthy.

Linda turns 82 later this year.

Ok one constructive post while I'm here ....

any Corrie geek knows the show was originally commissioned for just 13 episodes, which is quite astonishing given it's now on 10,535 and counting and surely not a million years from it's 13,000th episode. (around 2030 based on fag packet calculations if it carries on at a stupid 6 weekly episodes)

Named characters from the first 13 episodes of the long running soap.

/snip
13th September 1935 - Alive - Angela Crow (Doreen Lostock)
/snip
It's perhaps unsurprising most are now dead 60 years later.

Unknown - Eileen Mayers (Sheila Birtles)

Angela Crow has died aged 86.

Another Take the High Road one goes- this time it’s Ginni Barlow who played Gladys Lachlan.

She also popped up in Coronation Street a couple of times.
