maryportfuncity 10,686 Posted December 2, 2014 Lionel Blair won't work with kids anymore because he's afraid of false child abuse allegations. Do we take this statement at face value? I had no idea the old hoofer was still "working." It gives him a break from noncing, obviously.

Wouldn't be surprised if a certain man named leon kicked the bucket pretty sharpish . David Mellor stated a few months ago that Leon Brittan had health issues. Brittan is a decent man, and a dedicated public servant, who always carried out his duties with total integrity. In all my years in politics, I met no one I respected, or liked, more. He has been gravely ill recently, and does not deserve the opprobrium he has received.

While I wouldn't bet on it, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if a few names from that period...forgot to take their medication one day in the near future, in a manner of speaking.

A name we've already traded on here. Story pulled within hours of the presses rolling.

How many more you think will die between now and when they start to make arrests ? Of course it could just be a coincidence but...

thefunkyfaz 51 Posted January 27, 2015 I hadn't heard TV weatherman Fred Talbot had been accused of similar misdemeanours. Then I saw this headline... Phantom 2,552 Posted February 10, 2015 Former classmate of Ian Brown has stated in court that Brown is talking bollocks ok he didn't use those words, he just said that Talbot never showed the class gay pornography, instead it was a film about child birth. So, we need some common sense. I'm assuming a class full of Manc head cases, probs already under the influence of summat they took at break time, and the one thing we might usefully assume about Talbot's movie is that at some point a hand was inserted in a bodily orifice, beyond which the conflicting testimony - sort of - makes sense. I think perhaps he needs to be able to differentiate the difference between pornography and a social education documentary about reproduction. I vaguely remember the one we were shown. Naked couple (couldn't see any genitalia. And you could only see the breasts from the side view and her forearm was obscurring any sight of the nipple. And when they showed the part about penetration, it switched to a computer graphic image. I remember the horrified faces of some of the girls in our class when they showed the actual birth scene, yet 75% of those were ones that got pregnant by the time they were 18. Magere Hein 1,400 Posted February 11, 2015 We didn't even get a video. Just one Biology lesson with lots of talking and occasional references to the text book. I think the assumption was that we knew it all already, based on the quality of the grafitti around the school... My secondary school was a Roman Catholic one, so sex ed was a touchy subject, after all sex was a sin. But the law demands time for it, so the biology teacher did his best on the technical bits. The task of teaching the personal and erotic sides of things was passed around by the teachers like a hot potato and eventually handed to the one who taught religous stuff. This red-faced young teacher swallowed his embarrasment and did the job quite well. He showed no videos (the biology teacher did) but he did, a bit hush-hush, explain homosexuality and contraception. He answered all awkward questions, as far as any word would come from his equally red-faced pupils. He showed how to use a condom with a candle he'd nicked from the chapel. Brave man. regards, Hein
