DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted December 20, 2007 Wikipedia is reporting that Tony Ryan, the founder of Ryan Air, is now on a discount flight to heaven. Tony Ryan only just outlived his son and fellow Ryan Air founder, Captain Cathal Ryan, who is now also on a flight to a better place, possibly via Gdansk. Lady Grendel 139 Posted December 21, 2007 Floyd Red Crow Westerman, Native American actor and activist died last week. I'd thought about him when compiling my CPDP entry, but I hadn't found any info about him being ill and the fact that he was only 71 made me dismiss him as a possibility, maybe I should have included him as my picks seem to have increased longevity, I was very sorry to hear he'd gone . Youth in Asia 1,086 Posted December 22, 2007 The billionaire Ken Hendricks, America's 91st richest man, has died of massive head injuries. He made his billions in the roofing industry, he met his death after falling through a roof. Forbes magazine put Hendricks' net worth at $3.5 billion in September, making him America's 91st richest person. But he seemed unfazed by his wealth. "It doesn't make any difference to me: I can't spend it," Hendricks said in an interview with Inc.com in September 2006. "I'd have to sell the company, and I'll sell the company over my dead body." OK, who's going to start the bidding?
Canadian Paul 97 Posted December 23, 2007 Former Western Australia premier Charles Court has died at the age of 96 after a stroke earlier this year. I had eschewed him for DDP 08, as the Aussies have been having rough luck with UK obits, so it'll be interesting (for me) to see if he gets one.
