Certainly big news for him in terms the deathlist, but right when he was given the sentence everybody was saying it was going to be thrown out anyway.

He was a big name around 20 years ago. In 2001 he was a dangerous would be dictator who threatened peace in the region and was a belligerent antagonist to the UK and US. Then the September 11 attacks happened, and Musharraf backed the US. Overnight, the UK/US transformed him into a strong ally who was vital to peace in the region!

Too right he will, and so will Clarissa Eden - though she hasn't done anything high profile in the lifetime of most Deathlisters.
