Sir Creep 7,070 Posted October 1, 2017 Welcome to the list of 'biggest misses' by the Committee. Wasn't Hall on the list before? Gotta know when to hold em, and when to fold em. SC

SC He seemed mentally sharp and wasn't really frail in his last few public appearances, since he had no reported illnesses it seemed plausable he could have made it to 100. drol 11,945 Posted October 1, 2017 I knew him because of the Monty Hall problem. One of those logical problems you fail to solve if you think too much about it.

Spade_Cooley 9,525 Posted October 11, 2017 Not a host, but Merrill Heatter, co-creator of Hollywood Squares, died on the 8th aged 90.He was also the producer of Wacky Races.
lifeis... 4 Posted November 16, 2017 (edited) So we had Don Pardo, announcer of SNL until his death at 96. TBH I didn't think the producers would let him retire, he probably would be doing his job past 100. Johnny Gilbert, Another person who doesn't appear to be going soon but may be possible... His voice is still strong at 93, doesn't sound like one though, but he and Trebek have been mainstays since 1984. Edited November 16, 2017 by Death Impends Thread merged into Quiz Show Hosts, Johnny Gilbert doesn't really have enough to warrant a standalone thread

msc 18,444 Posted March 9, 2018 Seemed OK in those railway things from last year. Thought - to do with his stroke? Apparently it was quite bad, and he had/has to do speech therapy. iirc most of his talking bits were voice over, so in recording booth with script, not in front of a live audience.
