Well, Maryanne was 9 years his senior, Fred Jr died of a heart attack due to alcoholism, and Robert died of complications from a fall, so that’s not so "mysterious".

 

 For Jimmy Carter it’s the opposite : his father and his three siblings died of pancreatic cancer at (relative) young age. And Jimmy is still around though he was the elder brother ! He even outlived one of his grandson.

Not only do I remember him at Watford, I met him once or twice through good friends about 7 or 8 years ago. Super proud of his son. Sad news.
