Ah yes, Bruiser - better known these days as the celebrated artist, Alexander - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_de_Cadenet Anyone's guess whether this is serious or more chancing at a higher level. maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted July 3, 2022 Anyone see the GP today? The sit-down eco-protest kicked off after the first corner pile up. Just wondering if they took advantage of the accident to storm the track or if they'd planned that moment anyway. If it was the second one then the protesters probably don't know how lucky they are

dirtracer18 34 Posted July 17, 2022 An update to the story, the person responsible for stabbing East has been terminated by local authorities. Sounds like East was just going about his day and got stabbed by the local meth head.

Great way to build cars - marine plywood bulkheads and GRP curvy outer panels. In a similar vein about meeting people once, I'm thinking Paddy Hopkirk will really be getting on by now. On checking I find he is 81. And I was astounded to see him still pushing his brand in a business meeting back in 2004. Made of sturn stuff these old motor sports guys. maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted July 22, 2022 Paddy Hopkirk's obits should mention an act of selflessness in the London-Sydney marathon rally. He stopped to pull people - including Lucien Bianchi - from crashed cars that were starting to burn, cost him a likely victory in the event - but won him loads of praise. Bianchi, btw, only lived a few more months before completing the job he started in Australia and dying in a motor sports accident, as did his nephew - Jules - many years later.

Especially curious on anything about Jean-Pierre Jabouille (supposedly has dementia according to his friend and former racing driver Jacques Laffite). Nothing concrete as to affliction but if Peter Windsor says he's ill, he is ill. Laffite and Tambay have Parkinsons. Can't seem to embed the tweet for some reason; Here's wishing the very best to three ace, French #F1 drivers who are not very well - Jacques Laffite, Patrick Tambay and Jean-Pierre Jabouille.
