Blimey. 148 against. He’s not out the door yet, but this is far from over.

Can’t wait for the two by-elections later this month…

They're likely to lose one of those by-elections. If they lose the other one a big if they'll change the rules and move against him again

They will lose both if polls are to be believed.

But we all know Mad Nad will be out the next day blaming her traitorous parliamentary colleagues for torpedoing their chances in the by-elections, conveniently ignoring the current polling.

75% of backbenchers voted against him. He’s still in office (though only by a flimsy ballhair) solely because of the people on the ministerial payroll.

If anything this is the perfect result. The damage done to Johnson is fucking bad enough, but by him still hanging on the damage to the Tories as a whole will be cataclysmic.

I said in December his premiership had stage 4 pancreatic cancer.Looking more like MND or Alzheimers now.Slow but inexorable drawn out decline.

I’ve seen this said a few times but I agree - there’s something a little bit…odd about Johnson’s demeanour here, and he appears to be sniffing a lot. Possibly had some special Gove-coveted refreshment?

No, it's fine - read it in the paper

I actually don't get the cocaine vibe from him, instead, I think the stress really got to him and he is just a little sick.

This vote might have been something he did not expect. Maybe he had to rush it and hope for the best, because if the vote had been after the by-elections he might have lost.

I think as long as the Daily Mail supports him he will likely cling on.
