I did strongly consider him for DDP but two things stopped me:

I thought he might be disqualified for FFBI

I could see him dying off the radar

But will definitely die in 2024.

Sam Bankman-Fried has been found guilty on all accounts and could face up to 110 years.

I'm also thinking of his parents who assisted him every step of the way. They are notable academics with their own Wikipedia pages and really some kind of liberal caricature. I'm kind of getting some Madoff family vibes.

Just been reported - Sam Bankman-Fried gets 25 years. Link to follow.

It’s only a crypto-sentence. As soon as he’s able to convince enough gullible fools that he won’t serve any time at all, he’ll be free as a bird.

Not going to happen. He's really going to do the time.

He'll stand as the antithesis for other over-priveleged kids to claim it isn't privilege.

Martha Lane-Fox etc etc.

Aye, my bad - omitted from my Kiddyfiddler Harriers DDP outfit, which is currenly sitting on no points. If Whiting lives to see 2025 I'll put that right. Looks like nobody has picked him in that pool this year.

I'll just discretely sneak him into the 2023 LotM since it's more or less historical record. Whereas if he were picked this year he'd go on the 2024 LotL.
