Motor-cycle diarist Alberto Granado has died aged 88.

His companion, for those not getting the "Motorcycle Diaries" reference, was one Che Guevara.

The man who made Ladbrokes what it is, Cyril Stein has died aged 82.

Not a name I'd ever heard (Cyril Stein, that is, not Ladbrokes), he also owned all the non-US Hilton hotels at one time. Under his ownership they more than quadrupled in value in 4 years.

Eugene Fodor

The American violinist has died of cirrhosis aged 60. He shared second prize at the 1974 International Tchaikovsky Violin Competition in Moscow. After a glittering start to his career, things went downhill and in 1989 he was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to distribute. The judge refused to accept his Guarnerius violin as surety.

Last comic standing contestant and comedian Mike Destefano dead of massive heart attack

Wasn't a massive fan of the guy's material but if anyone has a spare hour listen to the interview he did last year about his drug addiction, crime upbringing and HIV. It starts about 17 minutes in.

I misread the headline when I saw it and thought that the Starr in question was Ringo for a moment.

I have to say I was a bit surprised that your main team haven't had any hits so far when I was collating the hits for Jan/Feb.

Still plenty of time to make an impact, champ...
