Cannon and Little should form a COVID widow supergroup now.

I'm gutted we'll never get the chance to see Large Ball though.

Maybe the funny man from Hale and Pace will be next.

Hale and Pace were a greater indictment of the wretchedness of 1980s Britain than Thatcherism, Hillsborough or the Broadwater Farm riots.

Met him back in '89 when he and Tommy Cannon were staying at the hotel I was working at.

He was annoying the crap out of me and a few of the guest at the hotel while at the buffet. I was carving the roasts at the buffet. I calmly placed the carving knife and fork back on the chopping board, turned to him and said "I'm sorry Mr Ball, I find you to be not very funny at all" and walked away.

A few years later one of the sicker relations to Viz comic ran a readers letter asking if anyone could help the Blakelock family find their dad who was last seen wading into a frenzied mob of Tottenham rioters wearing a police uniform.

As I recall, that "joke" generated a few complaints

Almost certainly. He looks a lot healthier than Matt Lucas to me. Not sure where this theory leaves Reeves & Mortimer?
