Paul Bearer 6,101 Posted December 31, 2012 Joint 52nd with 55 points (so far).
Bert Trautmann 58 Posted December 31, 2012 Much poorer than my debut year, weak choice of joker (Andrew Walker) should have played it safe on James or Gibb and I would have been top 50...hoping to be top 10 again with this year's effort though.
Windsor 2,233 Posted December 31, 2012 Sitting at joint 10th place. If I hold that it will be my best ranking in the DDP. I managed 13th place in 2006.
Spade_Cooley 9,519 Posted December 31, 2012 7th. Bricked it on Jim Stynes, blew it with Lisa Lynch. As us lower league fans are wont to say, there's always next year.
Phantom 2,533 Posted December 31, 2012 Joint 47th in my debut year. I'm content with that.
Lard Bazaar 3,799 Posted December 31, 2012 Equal 24th with 62 points - there's still time for David Blaine to drown in a vat of seagull spunk or something.
Rotten Ali 600 Posted December 31, 2012 oh my! only =105th with 44 points (just 5 hits) POOR, very poor.
grobler 35 Posted December 31, 2012 changing subject a little... whats the point in submitting a theme team ? A theme team will never win...it should have its own separate tourney ? Just wondering what every ones view is (I have a few hours to submit my disabled poker player team )
Toast 16,134 Posted December 31, 2012 I'm down at 62 with a woeful 52 points and no joker excuse this year

Just wondering what every ones view is (I have a few hours to submit my disabled poker player team ) There already is a theme team league in regards to a separate tourney

Just wondering what every ones view is (I have a few hours to submit my disabled poker player team ) It's kind of a show of deadpooling might. msc 18,439 Posted December 31, 2012 Depending on the Montalcini points (and she got all the necessary obits), I was somewhere between 70 and 80 (admittedly joint), with 7/20. For a debut season I don't think thats half bad, especially given how I came up with half the names at a guess in a last minute decision to join in. Now watch 2nd season syndrome kick in... Windsor 2,233 Posted December 31, 2012 The theme team is just a bit of a laugh really. My team are recipients of the Order of the British Empire. Handily for me they give them out to every Tom, Dick, and Harry these days...
Octopus of Odstock 2,194 Posted December 31, 2012 Despite winning it in 2010, I actually consider this year and 5th place, to be my best year performance wise - I think it's my highest ever points total and equal highest hit total. I also think the quality of opposition is even better every year. Well done to everyone and to TMIB for another year of fine running.
themaninblack 2,112 Posted December 31, 2012 Curiously, my theme team did way better than my normal one. That will not be the case in 2013...
Lady Grendel 139 Posted January 1, 2013 I have just checked mine and I am equal 36th. Very happy with that I expected to be about 200 - 300th. My best was 2010 when I was joint 33rd, considering that I scrabble round on Hogmanay and pick a team without much forethought or research (it takes me about 20 minutes) I don't think that is a bad result. I never expect to win but am happy to be in the top 100 .
time 8,598 Posted January 1, 2013 My main team was equal 488th, with no points for no hits. So was my first theme team. So was my second theme team. Needless to say, this was my worst performance ever.
CaptainChorizo 1,977 Posted January 1, 2013 21st by far my best result so far Although at not playing it safe and putting the joker on Etta James or Robin Gibb
harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,689 Posted January 6, 2013 Well done DDT, I don't think you've had anywhere near enough props for back to back wins - I doubt that will be equalled for a good while. I'm happy to have been the world's second best deadpooler over the past three years, if you believe the stats and consider the DDP to be its premier league, especially since I have no more idea what a spreadsheet is than Sam Allardyce does. Glad to be taking a sabbatical; reminds me of the pleasure of giving up fantasy football a few years back.
