Aw that's sad news. I had noticed she hadn't been in the most recent series but didn't realise she was ill. I know there's a new series coming up - I wonder if they'll have an episode for her character's funeral?

You can probably find all the series on All 4! Some of the joder ones are on Netflix.

Robin Parkinson is now 90. He was the 3rd (not 2nd) actor to play Monsieur Leclerc in Allo Allo despite Wiki getting it wrong & also giving 2 different first names for " It is I, Leclerc". (Ernest or Roger - take your pick!) Jack Haig  (1913-1989) was the first actor to portray Leclerc. Haig also stood in regularly for Clive Dunn in the stage show of Dads Army. After Haig's death Derek Royle (1928-90) took over the part. However he died after 1 series & is also remembered for being the father of the better known actor Carol Royle. (now appearing in Endeavour). Robin Parkinson (b 1929) took over the part until the series ended.

Michael Medwin was one of those actors who had a hit in the 1950s hitting #5 in July 1958.

Besides which, a marvellous actor who I thought would be forgotten and passed over when he died. Straight to BBC is wonderful that he has been remembered.

David Collings from Sapphire and Steel and shitloads of other stuff has died aged 80, his family have announced. Sad news, great actor, and a genuinely nice guy too from what I knew of him.

The third cast member of Scrooge to die in just over a month, after Frances Cuka and Michael Medwin.

I can't really hear the audio, but here's brief footage of the great 50s/60s character actor (and Talking Pictures favourite) Michael Craig chilling earlier today.

Twitter reporting that Hilary Dwyer (later Hilary Heath) has died aged 74:

Probably best known for her role as Sara in the B-movie Witchfinder General, she was also Jennifer Hadleigh in Hadleigh and Number 73 in the disturbing Hammer Into Anvil for The Prisoner.

That's the best episode of The Prisoner, by far. Almost McGoohan as Columbo, nemesis of wrong doers.

Ooh you've piqued my curiosity there!

I'm going to guess Penelope Keith is the person someone you know is connected with?I seem to recall you saying your MP was the wealthiest mp in the country which would have been Richard Benyon?Penelope Keith seems like shed be from that part of the UK whereas Joan Collins lives in London  and Jane Moore does too I think.

Just my guesswork! So you don't think you are like Joan Collins in any distinctive way ?

Penelope Keith lives in South West Surrey where Jeremy Hunt is mp.

It wasn't her.  I told Gooseberry who it was.  The connection was nothing to do with where I or any of them live.
