(Don't laugh too loud) A wee Chinese bloke, let's call him Fuk Yoo, that works in the germ warfare unit in a building in Wuhan was carrying a tray of beakers which fell and smashed. The liquids mixed and created this virus. He quickly cleaned up his mess, but his bosses got wind of it, told their bosses who eventually let the proper authorities know. As China doesn't want the blame for this, they contacted most of the governments round the world to let them know what happened. As with many such labs they use a number of mammals for testing purposes, and when viviscected end up being cremated.... unless you are a greedy (and very stupid) labtech who thinks you can make a yuan or two by selling the diseased meat as food at the local market. That does not make it right and it does not mean that the Government have done well regarding PPE supplies but it also doesn't mean that some dark forces in power are deliberately allowing nursing staff to catch the virus and die. As I have posted before, some of our NHS frontline staff, a significant some, have a horrendous disregard to distancing and hygiene. My Louisiana has within reason remained 'business as usual' (minus most stores being closed, but not WalFuckingMart or groceries or DIY box stores). Myself, I've been to the grocery store probably 6 times in three weeks, and I noticed right off that it isn't the other customers that were ever a problem, but the grocery store employees themselves, management included, who wander the store without face shields of any kind, come up and talk to shoppers (the deli lady was literally right next to me as I examined some fancy cheeses I was thinking on, I turned and she was 'can I help you' 2 feet away), and once in same deli area the store had a 'store meeting' where about 6 employees gathered to discuss whatnot and I could have lassoed them with a 10' circle.
