Deathray 2,940 Posted November 3, 2016 So did Kay Starr, Bhumibol Adulyadej and a load of frankly more interesting characters than Rowena Kincaid (who it's debatable even counts for the pool, I mean she scrapes cos of the doc she made, but there's someone else can't remember the name of who may well have been disqualified if I actually paid attention to this). effing update this yourself if your that arsed. You know, life to live and all that shit. I've been letting it fester for a while and am clearly incompetent as you can see. I've got enough problems being incompetent in other areas of my day to day life without being yelled at for being incompetent in a frankly meaningless and a little bit twisted competition I set up a few years ago whilst a bit bored. I'm sure shaun of the dead'll happily "run" it like his billion other dead pools - at least you'll get slightly more frequent updates, maybe a few times a year. In other news, I will no longer be posting on DL. I will still partake in DDP but I wish to take this opportunity to say goodbye to the forum. So tada, I've got a life to keep reasonably together and that means some parts of my life need cutting out. Tendy betting on the deaths of internet celebrities seems like a good starting place with that. Also for the last time, fix the swear filter. YoungWillz 21,044 Posted November 3, 2016 Don't think anyone was complaining Deathray. I mean, it's absolutely clear that you will hardly ever update this thread right from the get go. I'm sorry to see you go, it would be cool if you dropped by now and then, as I for one will miss ya. I'll happily look after this from the new year if people want to keep it going and you don't mind.

gcreptile 10,970 Posted November 3, 2016 Good luck in your future endeavours, including the DDP! Personally, I am currently too interested in all cultural things to stop deadpooling. Deadpooling is basically a welcome side-effect of trying to keep up with the general progress/regress/history of mankind. I think if I was too narrowly focused on death alone, I would stop. But as long as I can keep death within the greater context of life, I feel fine with it.

If Deathray is retiring from the scene then I can think of none better to take the helm. Thanks Deathray for playing in my various pools and I hope you stop by occasionally if only to check in on Scavenger Hunt Bingo where you are one of only two players to notch up three hits. All the best.
gcreptile 10,970 Posted November 4, 2016 I've also been thinking of hosting/maintaining a deadpool. I would have done it this year already if it had not been as busy as it was. I hope my move will be completed by the end of the month, so that I can be available in the new year if anyone feels like sharing the duties.

As in life, participation ebbs and flows. Well ... I think many of us would feel happier if Hein had announced he was sodding off. Rather than not knowing what the hell has happened to him. So I think it is considerate to mention that one is taking a break, yes.
