Drewsky1211 4,734 Posted August 29, 2017 Today at my local supermarket I saw a magazine that said Harper was in her "final days". Valerie could be a possible 11th hit (along with Graham, Michael, Booth and Bracknell).

The National Enquirer can always cite that fact when challenged on the accuracy of their reporting. 1
QuebecCityOliver 26 Posted September 26, 2017 Some recent coverage of Valerie Harper. Not sure how old the photos are. 2015-2017 by the looks of it. I think she might hang on until March 2018 for the Oscars. Definitely one to keep for next year if she makes it. http://www.jacksonsun.com/story/entertainment/2017/09/26/valerie-harper-balances-comedy-and-grief-my-mom-and-girl/703320001/

Death Impends 7,964 Posted October 12, 2017 http://www.wral.com/valerie-harper-back-on-screen-despite-cancer-struggle/17011918/ Mostly a "more of the same" article but does note the cancer drug that has helped her defy the odds for so long was losing effectiveness, so she's now on a new trial. Though doesn't seem anything imminent yet.

The committee needs to keep her om next year! Yeah, even if her chemo was more successful than anyone expected, it was evident that sooner or later it will cease to be effective. And the stage 2 trial means that the new drug isn't "standard therapy" (nor guaranteed to work), more like a last ditch effort to try and extend her life by a few more months. And even the things her co-workers consider "positive signs" Quote "C'mon, it's only 11 o'clock. Let's shoot another hour!" could be interpreted differently: for me a request like this means that she wants to get things done quickly cause she knows she's on borrowed time. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted December 30, 2018 I have a sneaking suspicion Harper is going to falter later in the year (2019) and play a role in some games where someone near the top took a chance. It won't be me....but the discussion about her changing treatments cuz the first one quit working, well, seems important. I simply couldn't find much follow up info re: that particular fact, at least outta her trap. SC
