Ebola and Other Viruses

New item about mutations...

Not a particularly informing article, is it? All it says is: the virus is mutating (which it must) and we don't know how the mutants differ. ISTM the researcher is begging to keep up funding his research after the epidemic has subsided.

regards,

Hein

Not sure whether this should go here or in the end times thread, but Bill Gates says that the lessons from Ebola should be used against the next killer disease that could kill 65 million people like the Spanish Flu.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2929333/World-prepare-war-against-global-pandemic-Gates.html

Also, I've thought for a while now that Gates looks about 20 years older than he is. He isn't even 60 yet. I think the days of working several days without sleep in his youth are catching up to him.

ye he does like older than his suppose to at that age but his health wouldn't be at risk for another 20 years considering how wealthy he is. When he becomes old he will just be the biggest death tease

They think they have discovered the source of the outbreak. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-32930892

Maybe we need to hear more but that sounds far-fetched: a TREE?

However, and more importantly:

"Award-winning filmmaker Dan Edge has been investigating why the spread of Ebola was not curtailed sooner."

How is THAT for a deep sleeper pick?! You play with fire you get burned. Dan Edge, guy who hangs around ebola patients. Better odds than some dude who happens to be 92 but healthy as a horse, IMHO.

It's like in the Lord of the Rings movies, when Gandalf faces the Balrog in Moria, defeats it, but it manages to catch him with one tentacle and tears him down with it.

Its a whip. Balrogs do not have tentacles - they are not Chthulu.

Correct. Next question: do balrogs have wings?

(Yes, we digress)

The west should not interfere with EBOLA, it is an African problem, so let us deal with it. You give us all these foreign aid and then try and dictate political reform to us, no thanks. We can cure EBOLA with our own witch doctors.

Poison pills are being disguised as Valium because of this there's an epidemic of deaths and blue mouths. BTW if anyone is wondering why I posted this here it's because I think this thread should also be used for epidemics in general.
