Deathray 2,940 Posted December 22, 2014 First team is in and ready (thanks Windsor). Meant to mention to any newbies, obviously, if you want to keep your team secret, PM me, they don't get shared until the Masterlist goes live after the closing date. *ahem* Gimme a break, The sun was blazing when you entered and I was confused about whether it was a late 2014 entry. It's still technically the first entry and as you're the forum pedant I would expect you to be as rigid with being correct in your own posting as you appear to be with others. In all seriousness I wish I'd been that organised with the Hares Death Pool... got some fucking horrid catching up to do. I am hoping to have the update out tonight.

msc 18,439 Posted December 22, 2014 Q - Who led the peasants revolt? A - Wat Tyler/ Q - Who led the pedants revolt? A - Which Tyler The ardent pedant often falls. Reminds me of when Nerina Pallot seems to have sung, "Safire, Safire, his typo is higher". That joke is dead obscure and not funny, but I'm proud of it. maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted December 31, 2014 REET Deadline expired at midnight, so I'll put summat to the vote... ONE team arrived via PM after the deadline. If you've submitted a team I'll leave you to vote on whether we allow the latecomer (who I won't name). I'll count the votes - assuming there are any - no later than 11-00am today. If there are no votes the default position is that rules is rules and the late team are non starters.

Estuarian Float 97 Posted December 31, 2014 *In defense of the mystery person's entry, he forgot about time zone difference and was sleeping because he has a very bad cold and is trying real hard to feel better before work tomorrow. So he didn't have the extra time to ponder over his picks. But if its a no he says thats fair...

time 8,599 Posted December 31, 2014 Rules is rules but, your contest, your decision, I won't mind either way (unless said team is full of low-hangers who'll all expire next week).
msc 18,439 Posted December 31, 2014 Precedent suggests they miss out, no? Other than that, I'm afraid I'll fence sit. As time says, its your game, your decision.
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted December 31, 2014 2-2 and two fence sitters (though I'd say they split down the middle as well), all to play for on the late entry. Re the late entry candidates...haven't looked,it's sitting on a PM so out of sight of all. Incidentally, there's loads of low hangers already entered and a fair few unique picks in the mightiest tonnage of candidates ever seen in this event. Currently 22 teams compiled into the masterlist
