The Dead Of 2015

Recommended Posts

I guess Sam Simon isn't part of the 'Dead of 2015' fraternity. Tsk tsk

SC

He has his own thread, so there's no need to mention him here.

I still think it's a pity that this thread isn't inclusive. It should be a useful reference tool, but as things stand, it isn't.

It's a discussion thread; not meant to be a reference tool. There are better reference tools if you want to just see who's died each year.

For example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaths_in_2015

It was meant as a joke, no doubt. Just thought it was a funny notion that this site would be a tool for someone researching who's died. Certainly won't see me browsing Wikipedia for this stuff. Much prefer the off-color banter here.

Says who? YOU? Your sentence is completely the opposite of the truth.

If we all start referring to our tools this site will sink to the levels of every other internet message board.

Stop it at once.

Whatever your mind is telling you, this really is a discussion thread, meaning that people can come along and post about someone who has died, while others are free to engage in discussion about the deceased person, abuse "guest", occasionally wander off topic, etc. However, SHOUTING isn't encouraged.

You appear to have various firmly held beliefs on how this site should be run. Just wondering, but have you ever considered setting up a forum, or even a reference tool, of your own? It would be a glorious opportunity for you to impose your strange ideas about posting etiquette on others and have things exactly as you'd like them. I only ask because, based on the available evidence, I don't think anyone here is complying with your various demands?

"Character actor Richard (Dick) Bakalyan, who famously appeared in “Chinatown” as Loach, the partner of Jake Gittes’ former partner, who plays a key role in the movie’s climax, among many other films and TV shows, died in his sleep in Elmira, N.Y. on February 27 of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 84."

and played the villainous Verdigris in the original Batman series.

Richard Glatzer, who wrote and directed the Oscar winning film Still Alice has died at 63 http://time.com/3741548/still-alice-director-richard-glatzer-dies/

This one is rather sad. Something else must be at play here cuz less than a year from diagnosis to death from ALS in a 63 year old seems quick. Anyways, RIP.

I've read that the younger you are at the time of the diagnosis, the better is your prognosis. So Stephen Hawking has a normal life span, Joost van der Westhuizen is hanging on for now, and Richard Glatzer died relatively quickly.

US civil rights leader and godmother to Pres Obama Willie Barrow has died aged 90 http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/03/12/civil-rights-leader-rev-willie-barrow-dies/

1. Did you realize Willie is a woman? Lol a tad shocking.

2. Her nickname was Godmother I don't think she was Obama's Godmother.

Perhaps you should attempt to read the first paragraph.

"Civil rights activist Willie Barrow, who was President Barack Obama’s godmother, has died at the age of 90."
