They all wanted Mordaunt. Let's see if they go that way next time, since they seem hell bent in having a say again.

The Old Crem 3,580 Posted October 20, 2022 It’s hard to see why Sunak and Mordaunt will do a deal. Sunak will likely be a bit ahead of Mourdant in Mp support but she would win the membership
TQR 14,384 Posted October 20, 2022 Nominations close on Monday at 2pm and by that time, the candidate needs to secure backing from at least 100 MPs, according to Brady.

TQR 14,384 Posted October 20, 2022 A threshold that high would likely rule out the likes of Johnson, Badenoch and Braverman, and may even be a stretch for Mordaunt depending on who else stands.

Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,218 Posted October 20, 2022 If the Tories suddenly in get smart, and they won't, whoever comes in should go for an election sometime in March. Labour will whinge about it not being NOW but they will be on a campaign footing for a shoe in. The Tories will get 5 odd months to turn shit around, they won't, leaving Labour to deal with the hike in energy prices and all the other shit too. They will blame the Tories and the public will say' so what? You are the government now and you promised to deal with it all. Fascinating, truly fascinating.....
