Worth noting both Moore and Connery have died in the year they would have been 90. Connery made it, Moore did not. If this trend continues we'll have the remaining Bonds dying in the following years:

Lazenby- 2029

Dalton - 2036

Brosnan - 2043

Craig - 2058

An absolute  movie legend. Iconic as Bond.No offence to the other actors but he is the definitive Bond . RIP. The end of an era.

My first thoughts when I saw the sad news headlining on Sky News  breaking news ticker  were  James Bond has died and that is 'hit' number 16 for the committee. Before I quickly remembered he wasn't on this years list.

Sean Connery was also my first crush  as a boy which pretty much 100% confirmed to me I was gay.No ambiguity at all.The crush was strong and overwhelming.

Cause of death was "complications from consciousness of having been in Highlander 2" according to the BBC.

"It's either Connery or Bill Gates' dad."

I genuinely don't like making criticisms of the committee,  my posting history illustrates that. (Afterall they provide this website for all of us)But it is frustrating that if they hadn't of so foolishly dropped/ not included Jill Gascoigne, Little Richard and Sean Connery on this years list then we would now have broken the 2017 record.

Just realised all 3 people on the Goldfinger poster have died this year - Connery, Honor Blackman and Margaret Nolan

I still think we have a very good chance of breaking it- only three more to go, and we are coming into the colder months now!

True enough. But those 3 names I mentioned would  be in addition  to any further  deaths that occur this year thus setting  a new high record.

Anyway  whats done is done .Do you have any particular names in mind for the remainder of the year? For me Joanne Woodward,  both Bobs Dole and Barker as well as Pierre Cardin especially  come to the fore of my mind.

I don't think Pierre Cardin will go this year (or next)

Its mainly the combination of his age, coronavirus and the deteriorating situation in France  that has put him on my radar. You could well be right though.

Third loss of my preliminary 2021 team in as many weeks... I kind of wanted to go for someone I share the birthday with.

Oh yeah, committee, yaddayadda...

Gone, James Gone. You only live twice, Mr. Bond, so never say never again. Rest in peace, Sean Connery. I thought he was a brilliant Bond and a brilliant actor. He will be truly missed but his marvellous work will live on for generations to come.

Here endeth the lesson.

You forgot Woody Allen, who played Jimmy Bond in 1967's Casino Royale. 2025 for him.

The character he played was the villain and the nephew of James Bond, not Bond himself.

For anyone who is lucky enough never to have seen Casino Royale (1967), I strongly advise you stay away. Easily one of the worst films I've ever seen.
