The Seattle Aquarium canceled the annual octopus mating event after fears that the 70-pound male octopus, Kong, would eat the smaller female octopus. This is unlike the human species where after mating, the female devours every aspect of the males life. As I understand it, octopusses die after mating anyway. I don't see a problem in one of the particpants making an after sex snack out of the other. I don't recommend that for humans, though. The suspect, Arnold Demoski, 26, was arrested on charges of assault in the third degree, one count of reckless endangerment, one count reckless driving and six counts of criminal mischief in the fifth degree, according to Alaska State Troopers. The previous day, three elephants reportedly killed a group of four other people.
