While I usually enjoy your enjoyment of getting bamboozled by immortals, I think for the above post-Covid check-up one post would have been enough.

Hmmm.... he actually spent the night in hospital, that's not exactly what you do for a "check-up".

Again? This far he's been hospitalised for a pretty large number of times, however some could be and likely are be excuses to skip court hearings:

14th of January: Arrhythmia/post-covid

11th of February: Fall

24th of March: Breathing problems

7th of April: Hospitalised for 24 days for tests

11th of May: post-covid and possible stomach infection?

(Bonus: reported "seriously ill" on 19th of May)

27th of August: Checkups

1st of September: Checkups

6th of September: Checkups...

Seems unlikely as he is seen as maybe too divisive to get enough people to elect him. Plus i suspect they Will be concerns about his age and health.

Well, the Italian President is quite frequently someone thats really old. Napolitano was elected at age 81 and ruled till age 90.

Yes, because divisive and old people are never elected.

Also, it's Berlusconi. After 30 odd years or so, I'm more shocked when he isn't elected in Italy.

Berlusconi's still with Marta Fascina, right?

He was 85 in September, she's 32 next month

It’s not a public vote but a vote of parliamentarians. He would have a better chance in a national vote.

Yes, because parliamentarians are famously very good judges of character and never advocate divisive people of a certain age.

The thinking is he doesn’t have enough support and he is less likely than others to be able to be a compromise candidate.

I am not so sure if he will be able to ensure himself enough parliamentarians for the election. And now here in Italy people are talking about a female president.

But maybe I am wrong and next year, in February, he will be our 13th President...

Well-deserved entry. He will never admit his age.

As an Italian I agree, for years he seems have to die but in the end he is perfectly fine for his age.

The perfect Italian for 2022 would have been Giorgio Napolitano (or Vincenzo Mollica, but I don’t know how well known is abroad, he is one of the most famous Italian journalists).

If we could Bunga Bunga as much as that shitpipe, we'd all live to be 100.

AS Italian I am happy to see Italy back again on DL (after the last one was Dino De Laurentiis in 2010). But I still think that former president Giorgio Napolitan is still a better choice. If Berlusconi was a really a name to put on the Deathlist, I think that he shouldn't be considered for precidency in the next moths.
