Toast 16,137 Posted August 23, 2020 I have tried with Muse, but his voice just grates on me too much.

One of them (this one) came on earlier. The other one’s on the same album.

harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,689 Posted August 30, 2020 As we've seen hereabouts recently, the term 'legend' has sparked debate, but... Hilda Woodward - total legend!
En Passant 3,741 Posted August 30, 2020 Graham Fellows. Genius. *There's a couple of ToTP versions out there, but the sound quality sucks and one of them has a certain Mr Savile the presence of whom detracts from the wonderful Fellows (he's not a legend though :P)
TQR 14,387 Posted September 4, 2020 Them Crooked Vultures. Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme on vocals, Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones on Bass and one of the greatest musicians of all time Dave Grohl on drums. Quite a supergroup. Was reminded of how brilliant this was recently, as Grohl has been embroiled in a drum battle with his challenger, a 10-year-old drummer Nandi Bushell, who'd been posting some pretty amazing drum covers of some Foo's songs. Here's his response to her: Not only one of the most talented guys in rock and roll, one of the nicest too.

ThePrematureBurial 224 Posted September 11, 2020 These reaction videos on youtube are a real treasure trove for great artists & songs. There was too much hard rock for my taste, but I discovered: The Alan Parsons Project (Eye in the sky, Don't Answer me, Ammonia Avenue, Old & Wise & everything else, of course) Leonard Cohen (Everybody Knows, The Future, Waiting for the miracle, Paper Thin Hotel & everything else, of course) Chris Rea - I love "Fool if you think it's over", but I deserve a badge for listening to his entire "Blue Guitars" album. Tom Waits - I just finished listening to his first album & I'm already certain that I will enjoy the rest.
Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,218 Posted September 11, 2020 Everybody is so 'ohhhh, fucking trendy' on this thread. I dare not post up 'Little Arrows' by Leapy Lee. The last time I heard, he was still singing the same fucking song ( his only one ) nightly at his bar in Mallorca.

There's nothing wrong with your musical taste, I remember the summer of '78, when this was the most frequently played song on the radio:

Lard Bazaar 3,799 Posted September 11, 2020 I’ll tell you what I’m listening to right now, shall I? Fucking tinnitus. 30 years of Iron Maiden has fucked my hearing completely. Constant high pitched buzzing, ringing, with lower pitched engine type noise behind it, 24 hours a bastard day.

I have this in a pic sleeve from 50 years ago (pic sleeves were quite rare in those days). Have a feeling when I'm dead and the young wombles go through my stuff they might get quite a bit for it on ebay.
