Grim Up North 3,726 Posted August 26, 2020 The Eurovision Song Contest category is breaking my balls. It's like pick 5 out of 100 living eighty odd year olds who you've never heard of and don't know anything about. And the odds of dying in next 12 months if you are an 85 year old male are less than 10% so statistically it will take me two years for one of them to pop their clogs (or their winkelpickers or their ballet flats).

This is why Ulla Pia was so key to my team
Bibliogryphon 9,588 Posted August 27, 2020 Thirteen teams are lining up. Can we get more than in the second round? Time is not on your side Young Warriors
Banana 859 Posted August 27, 2020 The James Bond research is easily the most boring of the categories. Just run through every film's list of cast and try and pick random names.

I'm trying to work out if you knew something we didn't, but as far as I can see no big publicity health issues, just an old astronaut? In which case, that's bloody bad luck - a unique on day 1 would have been quite a start! I am still intending to enter a team by Monday - I'm just hoping some inspiration strikes me to pick the right random names from the lists I can't pick decent bets for. Experience in this deadpool has taught me that just picking 5 old guys (or gals) is a mug's game.
Death Impends 7,979 Posted August 28, 2020 Submitted a team, very quickly cobbled in less than an hour. Don't have much time to do deadpool research these days but it's too good a pool to not throw my hat in. 3
Grim Up North 3,726 Posted August 28, 2020 My team is also in but took me a bit longer than an hour! I got sick of the Eurovision song contest around 1971. 3
RoverAndOut 4,746 Posted August 28, 2020 Finally submitted a team for my own picks, mainly to stop me umming and ahing over the weekend! How many times will I kick myself over the next 18 months I wonder...
Bibliogryphon 9,588 Posted August 29, 2020 We have more players than SHBD II and I know at least one other player has said they will submit. So will uniques be harder to find or will it speed the game up.
Dying Probably 579 Posted August 29, 2020 I think I've an idea for something, but it's likely too tame.
