Surely this thread should be retrospective only. It seems rather dumb to list a lot of people as the big misses of the year IF they die - the list COULD be endless.......!

I didn't know they all had sex-changes? I don't see anything wrong in referring to Thespians of either sex 'actors'. We don't make a distinction for doctors. (At least in English - Swedish maybe different!) With doctors, there's no need for a distinction because a doctor of either gender can do the same work just as well as the other. Whilst with acting, a male actor would have a hard time playing the role of a girl! Some male actors may have a hard time, others would get famous for such a role.

The fact that you needed to add "if they die this year" puts your assertion on shaky ground.

Put her in the Fringes forum then.... SC I've been here for ten years, you've been around for less than three months. I'm a mod and you're not. But don't let any of that stop you from telling me how I should post on here. Could you just stick to putting your own posts in the right place and stop telling others how it should be done?

He has recently become the 2nd longest lived pope in history. But he'll have to live to be 93 to get 1st place.

That'll do for Deathrace purposes! MSC is less than 100 points off the lead.

He was also the oldest person (somewhat) famous for something else than their age. I thought about including him in a DDP team, but decided that calling him an economist would be too much of a stretch. Of course, he would also yield few points. And last year, he said that while he would reduce his involvement in the family company, he would still remain active.

Maybe not for 2016 (she'll only be turning 76), but Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is a chain smoker. That can't be good for her health.

    Well..... now she's fish food.

However seriously you take it, the prize has a £10 limit, right? If you want to get more money - find a sponsor! Dignity is worth more than money and you'd have to be one hell of a Cunt not to give the prize to charity. That's a terrible thing to say about Raskolnikov (proud owner of a DVD copy of the original - 1975 - Deathrace 2000 movie). Or, maybe, he watched it and gifted it to Oxfam.

Looks like Leonard might prove to have been a logical choice for DL 2015.

Alcatraz History says: When his Federal sentence expired in 1954, he was turned over to the Washington State Penitentiary at Walla Walla to begin a life sentence for an earlier murder conviction. In 1972, he was released from Washington State Penitentiary, but he jumped parole and, according to Washington State authorities, his whereabouts are unknown. Chances are he died on the run.
