Well, it's a shame, but indeed has been comfirmed by the Beeb as well as numerous other sources. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-41475013 By the way, it's not like this type of "fake news" were an entirely new thing. Premature obituaries have been around for longer than newspapers and journalism. I could quote Mark Twain here but I'm sure we all know what I'm referring to. The sad thing is, the original report could've been issued when the guy had already permanently lost all higher level brain functions (the BBC report stated "he was taken to hospital, but could not be revived"), so he might have been dead in all but name.

He's supposed to restart here in Dallas on the 15th. If he cancels that show I'm going to have a completely distraught young lady on my hands. I may have to smack her in the head with a stick and bury her to put her out of my misery. I fail to see the attraction, but she is adamant that she would have his babies. She's a lesbian. I'm obviously missing something here.

Romania has a "royal court" and a "crown princess" then. Can't recall much frenzy for the restoration of their monarchy in the five times I've been there in the last six years.

He's not dead? Can't find it online, and he's obviously in a bad way, but it cant help but remind me of this bit in the Simpsons: At three p.m. Friday, local autocrat C. Montgomery Burns was shot following a tense confrontation at town hall. Burns was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was then transferred to a better hospital where doctors upgraded his condition to "alive".

Sooo, been away a while. I'll be the first to ask...is he dead yet?

Not sure, but nobody can break his stride

He was at the age where people do just keel over and die. Not everybody born late 40s early 50s will be on the radar, especially as I don't tend to think of them round then being as old as pushing 70. Put Tom Petty up with Robert Palmer and Gary Moore as one no one saw coming. RIP. I now wish I'd gone to the Hyde Park gig. Bah.

My sister does subtitles. If this was her, a bottle of low/medium price gin is on the way to Glasgow....

Sorry, but Tom Petty was definitely a rock star and not really a pop star...

Gall is a recurring drinker, yes, but Bosanquet was frequently overwrought...as a newt.

I always thought Mr Gall also had alcohol issues? Am I confusing him Bosanquet?

He was right next to Monty Hall on my stupidly long list, I think this is the first time I had to remove neighbours from it on the same day. #morePointlessstats
