5 pointsThough Valerie harped on far longer than anyone would've initially expected, the end of the Rhoda has finally been reached. 2 pointsJust realised we had the 7th hit this week last year (John McCain ) and it was followed by the 8th one in less than 24 hours so hopefully history will repeat itself !

2 pointsThe point is the name is a misnomer. It was precisely what the DP was about. Now why even call it that? Y’all can have it. Life is short...as this website can attest to. Don’t need to continue sitting through a bad movie just cuz I paid for a ticket. Sensible person gets up and walks out and enjoys the day. Douthit was my last entry, I will delete her, and that’ll be that. SC

1 pointWell -- we await a proper Romero obit. Ugh... seriously, NYTimes, letting SirC down. Well I'll give it through Sunday and make adjustments if necess. In the meantime, a REAL celebrity has produced a number of hits. 1939 (i.e. under 80 yrd old) bonus kicks in (2 pts): Harper, Valerie (4 points) - theoldlady, DI, RadGuy, Book, Clorox Bleachman, CaptChorizo, and Toast all with hits. Valerie Harper (3 points) - msc, Sean, Joey Russ, Banana, Etushispushingupdasies, and Torva Messor with hits as well. 1 pointValerie Harper was gonna make it to 80 after all, but not much further. Only The Unknown Man kept his patience with Harper in the HPDP, and receives 10 base points plus 12 extra (unique and Hollywood Squares) for 22 total.

1 pointI picked her, but she was dead last for me. Not like I had any chance of winning anyways though...

1 pointThat just changed... Valerie Harper gone. So out as of rights which weirdly (or perhaps not) feels slightly better than out on a late pen. GL to those remaining.

1 pointOkay, guys and girls.. it works this way: Each name is like a battery that loses its charge every time it is picked. The first one to pick name XYZ gets the full charge of five points. The second time the same name is picked it's worth 4 charges, then 3,2,1, and yes, theoretically you could even pick a name with no more charge, I.e. worth zero points. My pick Randy Romero is also worth zero points, because he died too early.

1 pointSo @Joey Russ had Peter Fonda in Easy Rider and I had Sheila Steafel in The Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150AD. So there are now 7 players with one hit and two players with two hits. Technically until the QO arrives for Sheila then I am in the same position as @Prophet who is still waiting for Ambrose Schindler.
