11 pointsFront page is up Yep, we know about the various anomalies in the text that can be fixed in a quiet week in March. The team descriptions will be updated, the names all standardised (though those with a capital surname were last picked in 2017!), and so on. Oh and if it says on the List of Teams your email doesn't work, ignore that... Obviously the LOTL and LOTM pages revert to 2019 because there isn't officially any yet. (Well, there are for the Missed but let's let Reptile sleep for a bit...) All up to date bar Samantha Last who will be in the next update. All thats left for now is to thank Grim for all the data processing over the Christmas holidays, Spade Cooley for hanging around and Agony Uncle-ing every single issue possible, and the man Reptile who sat for 4 days and worked through every single bug and fixed them. Legends, all of them.

7 pointsGive your full applause to the three amigos who've sweat buckets over the past 21 days to deal with my terrible handover instructions and get the site into a semblance of existence.

6 pointsAlright fellows, the first version of the 2020 site is up, scoreboard here: http://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/deadpool2020/scores.html At the bottom are the links to other relevant pages. The links on the homepage still link to the 2019 standings, it will be worked on shortly. By the way, yes, we know some birthdays are wrongly set at 1905. It's an excel/access issue... Also the spelling system is not streamlined. As a new committee, we focused on getting the process done for the first time on our own as quickly as possible..... substance first, the style will come! Expect some major improvements over the weekend, and check out your teams and the competition in the meantime! Edit: Current hits are processed, except for Samantha Last (yes, the birthday will be changed). Second Edit: Ah yes, the months in the "hits so far" page are in german. I think I need to get a language pack there.

1 pointGood work chaps (and/or chapesses). I think you should leave the German months, at least during the transition period.

1 pointVery nice job by the new triumvirate! The only disappointment for you is that Maude Apatow does not seem to have been selected this year

1 pointSo, actually saw Portillo in his new role as an entertaining speaker tonight. He discussed his defeat in 1997, noted the words Portillo moment have gone down in history and described the meaning of the phrase as "eating a massive bucket of shit in public!"

1 pointSods law, Joey, I have done "as it stands" draws ahead of the deadline in the past and the draw you get is ALWAYS better than the actual draw after last minute people enter. Although last year I did the draw 5 times as more unexpected people enter, and 4 times I drew Reptile, who beat me. I was starting to get worried when I looked up my horoscope and it read "A German deadpooler is going to thump you in the Cup..."

1 pointIt's so interesting how Meghan has been villfied despite it being common knowledge that Harry hasn't been happy as a royal for a really long time. It doesn't seem to have occurred to anyone that he may have wanted to marry her because she had her own career and was supportive of him wanting to live a relatively normal life. Hands up if that's the case then the wedding being funded was uncalled for, but on the flip side, holding fire to wait and see if the marriage is working before breaking away is actually sensible. He knew that marrying some toff with no ambition of their own, wouldn't support him in the same way and would want all the royal perks forever which he doesn't. They want to go and be financially stable good luck to them!

1 pointJulie Strain turned out to be the victim of a cruel death hoax... However, actor Stan Kirsch, best known for starring in the television series Highlander as Richie Ryan, the protege of Duncan McLeod, is dead. And unfortunately, this is not a hoax...

1 pointWell as promised I've looked through the thread and the results are in. Mike Gapes loses by a country mile, so YoungWillz (Me!) wins for this prediction. Outside the leaders of parties, Sheryll Murray holds on by the largest majority so philheybrookbay wins the wooden spoon. The beasts of the jungle (Swinson, Skinner, Dodds etc ) also went and compared with 2017 there is a veritable sea of red in the losing camp. Well done everybody, pens down for five years. Let's hope in five years we can afford a pen, or even to run broadband!
