As one of the most famous german football players I think he deserves his own thread. He suffers from Alzheimer for nearly 10 years and lives in a care home.

Anybody who had predicted 3-3 draws in those two matches would have deserved a lot more than 10points

Doesn't look great (however he can still walk, talk well and hasn't lost his marbles) in this interview but this whole video is weird. First of all he walks into the interview and tells that he has to cancel/reschedule it because he "doesn't have time". Chomsky later mentions that the interviewer missed the time the interview was supposed to start... The interviewer guy seems very disrespective and urges Chomsky to answer his questions. And what really annoys me is that he stops the call when Chomsky is saying "Thank you, glad to be-" I wonder if the boy even knows who he is interviewing.

Michael Jayston will be 86 in October, cross fingers, and is not only still with us, and still acting, but well enough to do several fan meet and greets this week. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Nicholas and Alexandra, Only Fools and Horses (and yes some quaint kids SF show) among many other big bits of TV on his CV, imo, a future DL top 50 name.

Watched the tribute to Johnny Briggs on ITV earlier, hoping for some form spotting on the older cast members. No sign of Julie Goodyear, Barbara Knox or Bill Roache who i thought might have made an appearance (not sure we can read much into that, what with there being a pandemic on), but I thought Goodyear would've had something to say if she was up to it. Amanda Barrie featured on it, looking and sounding pretty good, even though she did raise a glass to Briggs and said "see you soon, probably, in the Rovers bar in the sky". Also, any recent news on John Savident (Fred Elliott)? He must be over 80, I say he must be over 80, and wasn't exactly the picture of health 20 years ago!
