Well, that’s me officially a grumpy old bastard. Pensioner. Time to put my name forward for inclusion on next years list.

Guy in my profile picture has picked the time just after my birthday to need urgent, expensive dental treatment. Love the guy to bits so I'll happily shell out so he isn't in pain, I just hope that there are no complications. He's high up in age now (he was 17 earlier this year, so he's beaten about 80% of cats by getting there) so these things worry me more than they might have done in the past.

It’s a piss take. He plays up to the jokes about him having legendary strength and super powers. As someone who has lifted weights for 15 years, I can tell you that even the most ambitious bodybuilders in their prime do not “warm up” with that much weight on a bar. They’ll be fake weights made of plastic.

Personally I think Biden has looked surprisingly well in recent appearances and without the weight of being President could easily have a surprisingly long retirement. For a guy in his eighties already. Think he'll see early mid nineties like Ford. Clinton is hard to judge because you sense he's already in the extra years he gained through diet change etc when he first took ill. Early eighties feels about right. Bush Jr has always been in amazing health (I remember in the days before presidential medicals were gimmicked some astonishment at how healthy his heart was for a sixty year old) and still looks great so short of accidents or sods law cancer, I'd be shocked if he didn't say least make his dad's age. Obama is too young to properly assess. Trump is a major HA waiting to happen. He still has no real diet or exercise regime, he looks like shit. Reminds me of people I've known who seemed to avoid consequences for unhealthy lifestyle for ages only for it to kick their arse decisively and quickly in their late seventies/early eighties.

I totally disagree. The only thing Trump has going for himself is good genes. But he's very unhealthy and obese and I don't know if you've noticed this, but he's been seen without his ridiculous orange makeup more lately (such as when he's playing golf), and he looks clearly, clearly more aged than he did even last year. I give him a shot at 90 because of the genes but everything else would point to that not happening. And yes, I know you can have obese people living well past 90 at times, but it's generally not a good bet. He doesn't just act like a child, he eats like one, too, and between that and the stress he looks like he's under, I could see him going much quicker than you're anticipating. Oh, and he's also showing cognitive decline. Perhaps not as obviously as Biden is, but yeah, it's most definitely there.

I had the esteemed honour of working for Midge Ure as part of his Band In A Box tour He was very approachable. He stayed after the show to meet with fans and pose for photos and autograph stuff. I was able to get him to autograph my Rich Kids LP

It's because of the KOS games that my Spotify likes have become so diverse and now has 5,555 songs. I've added 15 songs to my likes just from listening this evening. And yet my Spotify still plays Murray Gold because of my Doctor Who obsession when I don't want it to.

James Marcus being under the radar would be slightly surprising given his roles in A Clockwork Orange and London's Burning

They have been recorded this year. William Gaunt looked great in his, Roy Clarke looked his age and Alan Bennett looked like a man circling the drain. Mind you, Michael Jayston seemed in good nick in his and by the time they showed it, he was dead.

Oh well if Nadine Dorries supports her, I think that tells us everything we need to know about her innocence or guilt. (I still haven't got round to the documentary as yet).

I’ve been reading various other froums and found bits and bobs of other country targets. France - Top 5 - Target met. Italy - Better than Tokyo (10, 10, 20) - Target met - same amount of medals but more golds and higher medal table placing. Spain - Better than Barcelona (22 medals) - Target not achieved. New Zealand - 13-18 medals - Target exceeded Hungary - 15-25 medals - Target met South Korea - At least five golds - Exceeded and then some. Japan - 55 medals and 20 golds - Met the golds but not the total number of medals. Brazil - Better than Tokyo (7, 6, 8) - Target not achieved (3, 7, 10) Germany - Remain top 9 - Target just failed Netherlands - Top 10 in the medal table - Target achieved Belgium - Better than Tokyo (3,1,3) - Target achieved (3, 1, 6) - also higher on the medal table. Kenya - 6 gold medals - Target failed Switzerland - As good as Tokyo (3,4,6) - Target failed - (1, 2, 5) Ireland - 5-7 medals - Target met. So some countries did well but a few failed.
