YoungWillz 20,887 Posted October 14, 2022 If she were to go today (unlikely), the list of living ex-PMs would just become unmanageable. She's more likely to say Number 10's door will be painted a nice shade of buttercup yellow...
Slackhurst Broadcasting 369 Posted October 14, 2022 Kwarteng is out. It occurs to me that throwing your closest ally under the bus eight weeks into the job isn't going to do much for the rest of your team's loyalty.

She threw her closest ally under the bus FIVE weeks into the job.
TQR 14,347 Posted October 14, 2022 Liz Truss appears to sign off her letter to Kwasi Kwarteng, from Kwasi Kwarteng. She alludes to the decision “he” took to go (despite her sacking him) and that they share the same vision (the one that was the reason why she had to sack him). Iannucci has once again been out-Iannucci’d. 1 4

Charlotte's Controller 195 Posted October 15, 2022 I think that there is a Tory plan to boost income and retirement income as much as possible by promoting and dismissing as many people as possible. Promotion to the House of Lords where they can do nothing and pick up expenses is not possible for all of them.

Windsor 2,230 Posted October 15, 2022 This article suggests senior Tories want her to go in the next week. It could lead to a nightmarish constitutional problem as they can’t actually get rid of her without changing the rules of the 1922 Committee. I suppose in theory they can’t remove her as leader of the Conservative Party but in theory they could remove her as Prime Minister… Personally I think the Queen clocked out just in the nick of time.
