Ideas and possibilities for 2024

Tom Baker - 89.

- Not involved in season 20 anniversary of The Five Doctors DVD collection thing.

- Didn't return in S13 like other cast members.

- 10 years ago was already looking frail with a walking stick

Picture of him in January 2022:

Him in October of the same year.

Would like to see Tom Baker live another 6 months to celebrate his 90th.

… then I’m not too bothered after that

Unironically looking a lot like my nan when she was in the care home.

Maybe not that but it's something to do with the DVD.

More that its 40 years since The Five Doctors, not 20!

Tom Baker was for much of his life a functioning alcoholic. He cut down the drink and fixed his diet around the late 90s and that's almost certainly added about 20 years to his life, but he is probably on borrowed time now. It'll be sad when he goes (he IS Doctor Who after all) but I'm glad he's got these extra years to bury all his old hatchets and issues with old colleagues and become a happier, healthier old man.

"Fan favourite" actor Biff Wiff has some kind of recurring cancer:

Had a role in Everything Everywhere All at Once, so even though he's not so famous, he might get something.

Anyone know how old Biff Wiff is? He doesn't seem to have a wiki.

Anyone noticed Caren Marsh Doll who was Judy Garland's stand-in back during 1939 in the Wizard of Oz who's going to turn 105 in April 2024?

Yes.  If you use the Search function, you'd find that she has often been mentioned.

Oh srry. But she's definitely a possibility anyway at such an age. There was some TikToker that got to meet her a last year when she was 103 & she still seemed in good health (plus she was on her feet which a lot of other people at that age wouldn't be!) but things can change very suddenly as a centenarian.

Classical music composer Francis Goya.  His  1970's composition " Twilight Time" is now used as the theme in the 2023 Computer Game Only Up!, might be a decent outside punt pick next year via physical attack from disgruntled video game players.

Jake Abraham, minor British actor, but Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels among them,  has stage 4 prostate cancer:

https://www.nationalworld.com/culture/television/lock-stock-and-two-smoking-barrels-jake-abraham-cancer-diagnosis-4220508

Has had it for years, probably, and it's pretty advanced. Undergoing palliative care, but that might sound more dramatic than it is, imo. Not a "weeks left" situation, but also not THAT many years left.

Yes. One for '24 or '25 but no more than that. Also, didn't he play an alternate version of Dave Lister in an episode of Red Dwarf? Either way an QO is guaranteed.

To be fair his pallour has been shite for years and there's the kind of bloating around his face suggestive of some kind of excess - I wondered a while ago if he was a serious drinker but didn't see enough reliable information online. He's 70 in November and a fair tonnage of Trump's inner circle (though he throws people out of that regularly) seem to have a kind of man-child quality whereby they get involved in serious political decisions and sustain themselves on a junk  food diet indicative some wilful disregard of healthy eating guidance. Trump himself, is surely, a stroke/heart attack in waiting.
