He got a full Times Obit some days ago: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/warren-ford-obituary-0v792vh7s

Paywalled obviously. I was hoping someone would post this, I didn't have the energy.

I'd add maybe Sixto Rodriguez to Lafaucheuse's list above. Suffering from glaucoma, other ailments, cancelled tour in 2019 and is now retired. He looks very frail in this image from last year.

Lots of people saying C. Thomas Howell isn't looking great in recent videos and images.

Sixto Rodriguez, subject of the Searching For Sugar Man documentary, reportedly dead: https://www.fox2detroit.com/news/sixto-rodriguez-detroit-born-musician-and-subject-of-searching-for-sugar-man-documentary-dies-at-81

Doreen Mantel has died at 97.

A lot of acting roles, but probably best recognised as Jean Warboys in One Foot In The Grave from 1990 to 2000.

Jacqueline Avant wife of Clarence Avant has died at age 81.

Her daughter is married to Ted Sarandos who is a Co-CEO of Netlix

Clarence Avant wiki is a fairly renowned music producer who could be a good DDP in the future considering he is 90

Apparently killed in a home invasion.

A list I feel is long overdue for this thread...

Those with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame turning 90+ this year.
(since I compiled it several hours ago, the death of Joni James has been announced)

Clarence Avant b. 25 Feb 1931

55 following the deaths of Joni James, Billy Watson, Vin Scully, Nichelle Nichols, Marsha Hunt, Loretta Lynn, Art Laboe and Dame Angela Lansbury (out of 2713 stars in total)

Clarence Avant bites the big one and goes straight to QO: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12404985/Clarence-Avant-Godfather-black-music-dies-home-Los-Angeles-age-92.html

DDP pick @gcreptile.

Someone had him on their shadowlist.

No obit of any kind out there yet, but some minor confirmation in this YouTube comment.

Local obit published today for Allan Crossley (wiki). Interesting fella.

EDIT: Of note to dead poolers – Crossley is only the 2nd titleholder of Britain's Strongest Man (which started in 1979) to die. The first was Marc Iliffe (wiki), who committed suicide in 2003, aged 30. His death was widely reported because of the circumstances and the fact that he was the titleholder in 2002. Crossley had a long career, and yet no QO.

Worth considering for any future picks.

Guardian Obit for Marjorie Daw, singer with bands led by Don Smith and Oscar Rabin: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2023/aug/20/marjorie-clare-obituary

Born Marjorie Turtle, this was obviously her stage name. She married the drummer Kenny Clare and is mentioned in his Wiki. She had been his widow since 1985.

Apparently one of the backing singers on Helen Shapiro's Walking Back To Happiness (whoopah, oh yeah yeah).
