Did she appears at her daughter's funeral ? What is the last appearance of Queen Mother ? Just to try answering your question: www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1588724/queen-mother-death-anniversary-princess-margaret-funeral-royal-family-spt/amp Quote The Queen Mother had missed regular engagements and traditional church services, but in spite of her deteriorating health, she travelled to Windsor for her daughter’s funeral. In order to avoid the press, she arrived at the chapel in a people carrier with blacked-out windows. The Queen Mother did not want to be seen or photographed in her wheelchair. Lady Anne Glenconner, Margaret’s childhood friend and one of Queen Elizabeth II’s Maid of Honours at her coronation in 1953, recalled seeing the matriarch during the service. 1

A really sad story. Losing a child is probably the worst thing that could happen to you. The fact that she did go the funeral despite her health condition is admirable. I was only 4 yo at that time but it must have been quite a shock to see Margret dying before the Queen's Mother

I was only 4 yo at that time but it must have been quite a shock to see Margret dying before the Queen's Mother It was breaking news rolling on the TV screen during an episode of Smackdown and at first I thought it meant one of the older princesses not the Queen's sister. Also at the time the papers explained they'd been requested not to take photos of the Queen Mum at the funeral and most of them had concurred out of respect. She was known to be in very frail health and was insanely popular.

Plus the war stuff and her positively encouraging all those stories of her drinking. But in general her popularity was some of the strongest I've ever known. Made the pope and most of her descendants look like Liz Truss in comparison!

Incidentally, the last photo of the Queen Mother. Attending her daughter's funeral on 15th February 2002. She died less than a month later on the 9th April 2002 and is clearly the most famous centenary who has ever lived... Don't think we'd have given him long if we'd seen this in advance. Fitting that he was having a drink in a bar in the development that launched his property empire.

If James Dean had not been in that car accident or any car accident, does anyone think he would have made old bones (like Marlon Brando and Paul Newman), or would he have died young anyway of a natural death (like Elvis Presley and Montgomery Clift)? I reckon Dean would have died in 2010, aged 79.
