What in the fuck is Dale smoking.  Yes Starmer is going to go for a potential double whammy and not just replace the only Senior Black memeber of his cabinet but in one case put someone in the HoL to do so  He'd have to put Miliband in there

As for Mandelson

Very few of the Shadow Cabinet will be replaced in the actual cabinet.

I keep expecting more and more desperation.

Still awaiting Sunak warning that if Labour switch to the Government benches, this will make it much more difficult for the Tories to see up Angela Rayner's skirt.

(Remember that?)

I legit thought you'd brought up a Cecilia Twitter post here!

Lammy not only has made contacts in every Western government for Starmer, he also got him a meeting with Macron at the D-Day thing. He's not being shifted.

Yep and with the current state of the world. He's not going to remove someone who'll be well read up on everything (and would assume is getting access to some form of briefings from the FCO) and throw someone new in.

I'd be extremely surprised if Starmer moved Rayner, Reeves, Lammy, Cooper, Streeting (unfortunately), Miliband (Ed) or Phillipson in the near future.

To be fair that is a long running rumour. I honestly not sure Starmer cares too much about if the optics look bad.

Came to say the same thing. One of the D-Day pieces (maybe Tim Shipman in the Sunday Times) said that Lammy put a lot of groundwork into getting Starmer into the big meetings at D-Day, forming strong relationships with Macron's staff and writing in French academic journals. On the morning after 97, it was thought a fait accompli that Prescott would be Deputy PM, Brown would be Chancellor, Straw would be Home Secretary, Cook would be Foreign Secretary and Derry Irvine would be Lord Chancellor. All were confirmed by late afternoon once Blair was in Downing Street. Would assume similar will happen next Friday. Doesn't mean Lammy won't be shuffled out later  if that's Starmer's inclination, but think he'll be safe for the first cabinet.

Yep. All the major cabinet posts will almost be who's the shadow now. With regard to the more "minor " cabinet posts I would wager Benn will stay at Northern Ireland. He's only been in it a year and also given the time of year it's best to have someome who has a reading of it rather than throwing someone new in.

For anyone still unsure. This Youtuber analysed all the manifestos. He is an American who is now a British citizen and will be his first time to vote in a UK election:

He has the look of someone who hasn't had a banquet in half an hour.

IIRC he's been hiding behind doors and jumping out of undergrowth to send 30 second endorsements of a few favoured friends.

Grant Shapps has it all covered. He plans to "significantly increase" the size of the army by giving all the existing soldiers 3 additional pseudonyms each.

Just seen a report that Sunak is in some Morrisons. The sign at the bakery section says "Your baker today is Rishi".

Surely that's the yeast of his worries?

He'd come back to work I'd imagine  Greg.

Imagine if a Tory PM didn't attend COBRA meetings on numerous occasions because he couldn't be arsed. Oh wait that did happen Greg

And just what the fuck does Greg Hands think he's gonna do about it? Another Tory Temper Tantrum here:

Was driving on A361 North Devon Link road. Seline Saxby, Tory posters all defaced with Saxby 4 Sewage.

Fair enough on several levels.

This will help the likes of the Greens in a year or two when Trump does crazy things and the Labour government refuse to condemn them.
