Shares update for fans concerned about his health after having MRI Scan of head

This one deserves a thread of his own, having been plagued with health issues for years, and would not like to be sharing Hammond's thread. Clarkson battled pneumonia in 2017 (which he nearly died from), suffered from two serious bouts of COVID in recent years, and previously feared he would go at 61 like so many others. There is bound to be a lot more news to put here in the years to come.

He also used to be a massive chainsmoker for years.

Why 61? Is it a bit like the "27 club" but for 61 year olds?

Are you familiar with Clarkson at all? Every single word he comes out with is hyperbole.

Similarly, Reach publications are the low bar for 'journalism'; just about every headline is clickbait.

Clarkson's Farm 'star' Gerald Cooper has been diagnosed with cancer. Sorry for the link, it's from GB News. It was either that or the Daily Express, neither satisfactory... https://www.gbnews.com/celebrity/clarksons-farm-gerald-cooper-cancer-jeremy-clarkson

Shows how fond I am of Gerald that I actually clicked a link to fucking GBeebies, but I was relieved to see he's been hard at work as recently as 23rd April and looks well there. Hopefully it's all in the past and he's all good now.

I also don't think he will make old bones despite quitting smoking.

That article also mentions that he quit smoking following his pneumonia, so there's that in the plus column. The man has aged like milk in a heatwave.

I have to agree with you at 64 looking like that I do not think longevity is in the cards for him.  In that picture alone he does not look like a well man.

Every other week, I seem to get a 'Jeremy Clarkson health scare' story in my Google newsfeed from some local rag like 'Gloucestershire Live'. At least now it's posted here, I know it's legit.

He has also looked 10 years older than his true age for as long as he's been a public figure, so one of them was probably bound to be true at some point.

Clarkson is enough of a mess of health worries, overweight, long-term smoking, fond of a pint etc. that he'd likely recognise as a motoring journalist the high-mileage aspects of his own body.

Akin to a car that's been driven the way he tried to drive on screen.

Yeah, likely a busier thread in the next few years, stent or no stent.

Agree with the above comments that Clarkson is unlikely to make old bones. However, I think he would be a really bad DL pick and that we should err on the side of caution.

Over the years we've seen people who lived terrible lifestyles with countless conditions, and yet they stuck around for ages despite it – Jerry Lewis springs to mind. Unless Clarkson is diagnosed with a terminal illness I don't think we should pay him too much attention.

Yes. The Deathlist should really be those who are over 85 or those younger who are known to be or reasonably suspected to be terminally ill.

I disagree.  I think a few 'loose cannons' and individuals who enjoy a blatantly unhealthy lifestyle add spice to the Deathlist.

As is most often I agree with you again @Ulitzer95 as people such as Daniella Westbrook and Paul Gascoigne are good examples of this.

Yep, both of whom are still alive and doing ok. I had coffee with Daniella recently.
