I really didn’t realize how much I would feel his death. I never had any particular attachment to him but he was a fixture of television in my youth. He always struck me as a decent person and it takes a certain kind of bravery to deliberately be the object of ridicule for the joy of others. RIP.

Guy gave me the absolute creeps. Never understood the love in for him. Felt the same way about Savile when he was alive (before we knew what he was truly like). I'm not saying Simmons was hiding anything FTR, just that he made my skin crawl for some reason.

Some essential newbies for the 2025 DL... if they make it

 

Alain Delon: Wheelchair bound, verging towards ninety in 2025, suffering from lymphoma, recovering from a severe stroke from five years ago, his family is breaking apart and he is in the middle of the Delon family fight.

 

James Earl Jones: Will be 94 in January, has been close to 300 pounds for most of his life, has been out of the spotlight as of late, has had a history of diabetes going back to the 1990s.

 

June Spencer: Um, she'll be 106 next June.

 

Eva Marie Saint: Um, she'll be 101 next July.

 

Teri Garr: Will be 80 this December, has suffered from multiple sclerosis for decades, has been too quiet.

Jack Karlson, the man behind the famous 'Democracy Manifest' video, is still alive at the age of 82. He doesn't look that great as of late, is an ex-smoker, and seemed to fall asleep in a recent interview. He will 100% receive numerous write ups when he dies, from the likes of The Sun/Daily Mail. Although not deathlist worthy, maybe someone to consider for deadpools and personal lists.

- Frankie Valli (b. 1934) : 90 this year and still touring I think but…

- Paolo Conte (b. 1937) : frail for years, former smoker, I can't see him reaching more than 90

- Smokey Robinson (b. 1940) : maybe not for now but to keep an eye on

Paolo Conte more niche in the UK, I know him due to the Austin Powers soundtrack back in the day (!) though. Also, I've assumed for years Drol actually hates him, as a famous old Italian he never mentions.
