Here's him definitely not running for Chancellorship of Oxford University earlier this month. He ultimately lost to William Hague a couple of days ago. He was also part of the BBC General Election coverage in July for several hours into the night, if I recall correctly. If he's well enough to do both of these things, he's probably not going to die any time soon. Of course, he could randomly keel over at any time, but that is much more unlikely. Phantom 2,536 Posted Saturday at 12:37 Saw a short news piece a few days ago that was discussing the "possibility" of a nuclear strike in regards to the conflict in Ukraine and also the Gaza strip. In the background of one part, they had Tom Lehrer singing "we'll all go together when we go". Lehrer will be 97 next year. Could be worth putting on the list. He's no longer responding to autographs apparently, so , sadly, I think you may be right.

Spade_Cooley 9,547 Posted 4 hours ago Would Ian Smith be the first time a DL pick has shared a name with a previous DL pick (former Rhodesian premier Ian Smith, a perennial favourite of "actually I'm not a conservative I'm a classical liberal" types on xformerlyknownastwitter, was a hit in 2007)?

Sad news though always liked him. Thanks for the heads-up. I have now read a few UK stories about him today and I can't find any reference to it being said that he is expected to die in next few months. Do you have such a source? Thanks

Thanks I did read it somewhere this morning but can’t seem to find it mentioned when I looked again however the average life span of someone with the disease is between 5 to 8 months after being diagnosed so its unlikely he will be around come 2026 sadly

Thanks I think it’s plausible as he ‘returned’ to Neighbours probably just to do Harold Bishop’s exit/death.
