Ideas and possibilities for 2025

If the committee wants to take a big risk, pick Dave Blunts

nearly 600 pounds, on a oxygen tank

the only two things I worry is he might not get a uk obit but I can’t be sure and he’s only in his early 20’s

Not notable enough for DL, but cheers for the DDP tip off. ;)

And I get concerned about my weight, that guy is about 300-400 pounds heavier!

I also thought that to, and I also picked him for DDP

Since the killing of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson, I've been seeing posts of Kim Keck's photo being shared. Kim Keck is the CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield who have received announced that they won't cover all cases of use of anesthesia for operations.

They've reversed their decision to cap coverage for anesthesia

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He is also suffering from a blood disease and it’s ‘only getting worse’. He’s ‘really struggling’ and can barely walk.

Don’t talk bollocks - little chance perhaps but not ‘no chance’.

There's a chance that anyone will die next year.

Feels like the right time to give my 10 recommended picks ranging from well known to obscure for the DL and other dead pools.

  • Empress Michiko - Has been in declining health for a number of years, most recently breaking her hip in a fall this October. She generally seems to be in a worse situation health wise compared to Akihito.
  • Alan Alda - Parkinson's seems to have really taken a toll on him now, in recent videos he's shaking constantly and seems quite stricken in general, my gut says he is in or nearing the end-stage now.
  • Judy Loe - Has stage 4 cancer and lost her husband last January.
  • Artimus Pyle - This is a man who's survived a plane crash, a near fatal motorcycle crash and it seems a heart attack and prostate cancer very recently according to a podcast interview and it feels like we are due to lose a Lynyrd Skynyrd member soon anyway.
  • Bruce Crandall - The current oldest living Medal of Honor Recipient. Seems to have declined a lot recently, was in a wheelchair and looked very thin at the annual convention compared to a year ago. His hands looked discolored too.
  • Luciano Benetton - The oldest of the Benetton siblings at 89, stepped down as chairman from the Benetton group earlier this year and there doesn't seem to be any news of his whereabouts since.
  • Try Sutrisno - Former Indonesian vice president who has been extremely frail for years and was rumored dead back in 2022.
  • Tippi Hedren - Suffering from dementia which seems to be closer to the severe side.
  • Ellen Rometsch - German former model, alleged JFK mistress and rumored Communist spy who has been living under the radar but is still alive at the age of 88, also recently lost her husband.
  • Vince McMahon - Wildcard pick recommendation. Had spine surgery in 2023 and is now rarely been seen in public. In his few recent appearances he seems to be using a cane and looked frail. One to watch in the coming years.

With the exception of Alan Alda and Tippi Hedren. These picks do not feel Deathlisty

Alan Alda-I wanted him on my shadow list, but in the end others seemed more necessary to take up the spots.  He will be high for my 2026 shadow if he survived the year.  I do plan on him with other pools though.

Ellen Rometsch supposedly had an affair with Gerald Ford as well. I had no idea she was still alive!

Bob Mackie had a fall last week on his way to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. 84, so up to you if you think that's a sufficient age for the "as soon as they start falling over they've got 18 months" rule.

Deffo John Williams because he wanted episode 9 of star wars to be the last one he worked on. I'm guessing he won't be around for episode 10 is why.

Don't worry myself over Celine Dion tbh. Her heart will go on

Come on. It was not that difficult. I had written something I chose to remove. Since a message is can't be removed entirely I said this. It had nothing to do with any subject in this thread.

Damn, that was fast, and damn, would have jokered him in everything. He had more co-morbidities, so it does not surprise that much.
