Ulitzer95 12,584 Posted September 1, 2021 Going to have to start checking the Instagram page of film historians Austin and Howard Mutti-Mewse more often because they seem to be in the know about everything that the media is not. I've only gone back through their posts from the last 2 months, and already I've found another 2 names whose deaths haven't been mentioned anywhere else. Firstly a big name. June Kenney (wiki). Known for her roles in b-movies around the 50s. Romantically linked with Rock Hudson (lol) and Tab Hunter (lol). The internet has her YOB as 1933. Looks like in reality she was born in 1930 and was 90 at the time of her death on June 25th 2021. Secondly, a more obscure one. Patricia Redpath (IMDb) had one title role (also her only credit it would seem) in the 1942 Western "Rodeo Rhythm". She died in Kansas City, Missouri in January 2021 at the age of 95. When time allows, I'll go through their older posts to see if there's any other notable mentions. As I said, these guys are in the know. Also broke the deaths of Patricia Marmont and Vera Fusek. Worth keeping a watchful eye on their page. 4

The Immortal 634 Posted September 9, 2021 Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory marks its 50th anniversary this year. 4 of it's child stars (Paris Themmen, Michael Bollner, Julie Dawn Cole and Peter Ostrum) are still alive and are in their 60s while only one Oompa Loompa (Rusty Goffe, now in his 70s) is left standing. They could be good picks to consider for a death pool team.

His last credit on IMDb was as recent as 2017, and he does the panto circuit. 2) Why would they make a good "death pool" team? Themmen, Bollner etc. are only in their early 60s and still very active, attending lots of conventions. Peter Ostrum looks great in fact!

One of those instantly recognisable faces, even if the name isn't immediately familiar. He'd be a guy I'd see in a movie/programme and be scrabbling for IMDb to see where I know him from.

Not even any coverage from Variety, the Hollywood Reporter etc. A big problem has arisen with Hollywood types lately – The Hollywood Reporter abandoned its obituaries section earlier this year, and when I've pinged them suggestions via the Tips page, they just get ignored by Mike Barnes (who is a bit of a dick and never responds; he writes the articles about celebs passing). It's clear that THR is now more interested in creating clickbait type content and woke nonsense focusing on controversial comments some star has made, or how represented black actors are on screen etc. They've abandoned their traditional style of being the single most dependable source for chronicling historic Hollywood and ensuring that those who worked in the industry for decades with 100s of credits do not die in obscurity. Sad really, but I think this is the start of a lot of passings in this field going unnoticed. Marcy McGuire, June Kenney, Larry Gelman probably won't get write ups elsewhere now, because THR haven't covered it from the onset in order to bring the news to the attention of other media. People may want to be careful for the DDP next year. I expect a lot of these Golden Age Hollywood types to die off radar now. 3

Hopefully SAG-AFTRA will include him in their list of departed entertainers in their autumn issue. Just been through their summer release. Is this THE Jeanette Miller (b. 1932, wiki, IMDb) who appeared as Aunt Edie in The Middle, as well as Norbit, Legion, The Truman Show etc. and was active until 2015? It would appear so but I need some kind of linking evidence to get Wiki/IMDb updated appropriately.
