As Comped said, all the focus was on the Pope, who was "an unconscionable time a-dying" but finally succumbed on 2 April. Prince Rainier's death was announced on 6 April. I don't truly believe that you can keep a prominent world leader's death hidden for over two months, but at the same time, I remember how nervewracking his last-minute critical condition was for deadpooling and can only think what a savior that was for us if it really was the case.
