I never expected something like this. I was hoping that I could break the record for number of former living presidents. Looks like that is not going to happen. CoffinLodger 1,248 Posted December 1, 2018 Does his death count as a November or December death since it was nov 30 in the USA but dec 1 here in UK.If it counts as a December death it means we've had hits in 11 of 12 months which is a record I think. JTrost1234 21 Posted December 1, 2018 I count it as November, since he died in The United States.
CoffinLodger 1,248 Posted December 1, 2018 I've just realised George Bush is the 4th republican President in a row to die following the deaths of Ford Reagan and Nixon. The last Democrat President to die was Lyndon Johnson in January 1973, so I guess we're overdue one.

Joey Russ 7,220 Posted December 1, 2018 Feel kind of meh about his death tbh. Better than your Republican politicians today, but still has done a lot of shitty things. Still, hope his family finds peace. RIP
John Key 747 Posted December 1, 2018 I will just leave this here, because in the case of Bush, one of his final acts as President shows what a gentleman he is in defeat.
Deathray 2,940 Posted December 1, 2018 So just woke up to this news. As I'm sure many more of our UK posters will in the next couple of hours. Pretty impressed he managed to make it this long, giving his ongoing health concerns. RIP A president from the days when presidents at least gave the impression of knowing what they were doing. Only Obama since him has managed that. Clinton couldn't keep it in his pants, Bush Jr couldn't string a sentence together without putting his foot in his mouth and Trump's a lunatic.
Book 3,556 Posted December 1, 2018 Oh. I thought he would be the next DL No.1. Now I think it could be Prince Philip.

She rambled on about how she can't sleep at night and she still sobs uncontrollably.

Deffo a December death. The Deathlist is based in the UK. (The death has to be worthy of mention in the UK media.) The Deathlist for 2018 ends at midnight UK 31st December. If somebody on the list dies three hours later in America that will just be a good start fror 2019.

YoungWillz 21,037 Posted December 1, 2018 Well, missed that one for the Advent Avalanche, he he, though I think local time might have affected it, then everyone would argue over the Hewlett rule and it would go on and on. Anyway, I have some updating to do and claims to be made where I picked him. Far as the DL is concerned, you do get something for a pair in this game...
