Camilla, Queen Consort

Recommended Posts

Well, as the Duchess of Cornwall is now Kate Cambridge (nee Middleton), we are going to have to change the title of this thread, dedicated to the future memory of Camilla.

For those with a Doctor Who background. When you say Queen Camilla surely you should be thinking of The Three Who Rule!

I think of Camille Coduri who is the actress that plays Jackie Tyler.

Regarding my Room 101 post, this thread should be re-titled Queen Camilla.

We know she is a consort, it is not required in her title.

Where's fucking Elspet from the Royal Forums when you need her...

Looking at pictures of Camilla at the accession ceremony yesterday.

My overriding thought was that if she had an Emu puppet she would be a dead ringer for Rod Hull

Thoughtless use of that lazy hack phrase "It comes as ......" :

It comes as the royal couple are due to visit Wales on Friday

No, it doesn't.  You just told us it happened before the Queen's death.

The Times have announced they will not be using the term Queen Consort but ITV disagree and will still use it.

Given why we're here what about subtitling this thread - Three in this marriage and the other one is The Grim Reaper!

Will the Grim Reaper be complaining that it is getting a little crowded?

There's no confusion when referring to C & C  as "The King and Queen".

And it's just as easy to say "Queen Camilla" as "The Queen Consort".

So I don't see any reason to keep using the term Queen Consort in everyday speech.

Neevous flyer Camilla Queen Consort suffers a bit of a mid air scare as a bird causes damage to plane she was travelling on.

I'd imagine she's more nervous about that ginger twats book.

I noted the panellists were vicious about Harry on HIGNFY last night. All true though.

I doubt there's anything true he can say about her that isn't already known.  Anything else will be assumed to be lies, as nobody trusts him now.

I agree. I think both Harry and Meghan have overplayed their hand and amongst other things have a big credibility  problem.

I also feel that if they truly had something that was seriously a damaging threat to the monarchy , its members and its future the royals would have gone out of their way to swallow the bitter pill and accommodate them more in order to appease their threat.

What I am trying to say is I don't think fear of the book is the royal family's dominant emotion because if it was they would have played the last year or two differently.

Exasperation  is probably more like it.

They are also tone deaf especially him. Remember he is a man with millions of his own who went on global television whining that Daddy cut my money off- while the majority of the world was suffering from covid related problems including economic ones.

We are now entering severe global economic woes, High inflation,  likely recession.  Fewer and fewer people will have patience for  a spolit man childs self pitying poor little rich boy spiel. Even the title of the book  Spare is dripping with self pity.

That’s interesting because on social media Harry is still quite popular with younger anti establishment types.
