Lard Bazaar 3,799 Posted July 31, 2009 Sad news, also a shame that Newcastle got relegated in the same year. So they're both going under (ground).
Phantom 2,531 Posted July 31, 2009 How thick do I feel? For EVER I thought that Bryan Robson was Bobby Robson's son. It's only now that I'm reading obits that I realise I have been wrong all this time I used to think at the time that Bryan Robson was Bobby's nephew. Could never work out why he kept him as captain, let alone in the line-up at all. All you had to do was tackle Bryan and he'd dislocate a shoulder or something. ghostofchat7 1 Posted July 31, 2009 #1. I deplore football. #2. I deplore grown men using baby names like "Bobby". I deplore sports in general. I'm not competitive by nature. And I agree with the youtube limey's rant about American football, it is stupid also.

Rotten Ali 600 Posted July 31, 2009 Sad, really sad that the really nice blokes get the worst medical problems. Had it for so long and beat it four times down the years. That's a fair win record. Played 5, won 4, lost just once. Chance he now gets to manage an old timers match up against Old Big Head.

Canadian Paul 97 Posted August 1, 2009 Ah, it used to be the case that whenever I traveled, DL would get a hit, but then it stopped for a while. Good to see we're back on track! Well done DL and now, thanks to Allingham and Robson, I had a hit in July on every DP I'm participating in! Which would be a lot more impressive if I'd had any hits in any of them more recently than February.
jumpinjackflash22 0 Posted August 3, 2009 It is sad. Bobby was a great manager, player and person. I guess in in a way he's out of his misery, getting cancer that often can't of been that fun! He had some really painful surgery done, had many bouts of cancer and became really frail. RIP Robson.

Tomb raider 9 Posted November 11, 2009 Not UE I know, but there are no doubt plenty here who are interested so posting anyway. Sir Bobby Robson died today. Shepy Sir Bobby Robson died today, indeed. That is to say: today it is exactly three months and 12 day ago that he passed away, which has been occasionaly mentioned at the DL forum before. The news is not travelling fast in the not-exactly-soccer-minded US of A, is it?
