To quote Guesty from another thread...

"My ultimate fear is not that he'll be found "Innocent"/"Guilty as Hell", but that in true Private Eye style he'll be found to be "Famous" and get off scott free again. "

Sums it up nicely.

From the evidence I heard I'd say the jury got this one right. The standard is guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Just about every witness who testified against Jacko was tainted one way or another (e.g. had previously sued him, testimony was contradicted, etc.). The DA, who will go down with Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden in the annals of all-time crap California public prosecutors, was carrying a 13 year old grudge against Jackson and it showed in the case he brought - he tried for too many charges, including a ludicruos kidnapping claim, and didn't focus enough on the central issue of abuse. Plus the boy's family have a history of filing bogus lawsuits.

I saw the Martin Bashir interview and came away from with the impression that Jackson's a nutcase, but not a child molester. Nothing that came out at trial made me think any different.

1st of all, all you haters out there u will fade into insignificance. MJ will be remembered as a great artist for centuries to come.

He will be like a mozart of our time, regardless of what the HATERS say. MJ has done mistakes like all of us. The only difference is that he is the public eye, there his mistakes are 'publicized'. Guess it comes with the territory.

/*******************************************************************/

Now, before u jump to conclusions, I’m not saying that I think that he is guilty as charged. When I said MISTAKES, I did not mean that. I meant more like plastic surgery, making himself venerable to fraud.

I've got quite an interesting scenario.

Again, for all you haters. Before I continue, this is the tip 4 the haters.

/*******************************************************************/

'Haters never get anywhere, because they spend all their time trying to bring others down, & therefore don't make much progression.' [Think about dat]

Scnenario. 4 the haters.

If God was standing right of you and he asked you - (lets forget about the debate about if there is God or not for arguments sake). Do you think MJ is guilty as charged?

Before u say yes, there's a catch.

/*******************************************************************/

If u say yes, you will lose your head if you’re wrong. If u don’t know, u can simply say ‘dunno’.

Now, how many of you out there can confidently say YES.

The point is that u don't know if he's guilty 4 sure or not.

/*******************************************************************/

Infact, the most you investigate into the case yourself, the more innocent you find that he is. If u think that the jurors will let him go free if they thought he was guilty, then you need to do some soulsearching & opening your mind.

Think about this. Surly if Micheal is guilty as charged, they would got a killer fact somewhere. Wat u have to remember is that Michael was scrutinised by prosecuters but the accussed weren’t. You now what that means.

/*******************************************************************/

Facts

Scenario 1

Michael (searched for evidence) – Guilty

Accuser (not searched for evidence) – Innocent

Let’s assume that Michael is guilty [& this is a fact]. This means there is a big probability that he will be found guilty. [Roughly about 7 on a scale of 1 – 10].

Obviously depends on factors such as our well the search is done and how the evidence is produced.

/*******************************************************************/

Scenario 2

Michael (searched for evidence) – Innocent

Accuser (not searched for evidence) – Guilty

Let’s assume that Michael is not guilty [& this is a fact]. This means there will be a small probability that he will be found guilty. [Roughly about 3 on a scale of 1 – 10].

Obviously depends on factors such as our well the search is done and how the evidence is produced.

/*******************************************************************/

Scenario 3

Michael (searched for evidence) – Guilty

Accuser (searched for evidence) – Innocent

Let’s assume that Michael is guilty [& this is a fact]. This means there will be a big probability that he will be found guilty. [Roughly about 9 on a scale of 1 – 10].

Obviously depends on factors such as our well the search is done and how the evidence is produced.

/*******************************************************************/

Scenario 4

Michael (searched for evidence) – Innocent

Accuser (searched for evidence) – Guilty

Let’s assume that Michael is not guilty [& this is a fact]. This means there will be a small probability that he will be found guilty. [Roughly about 9 on a scale of 1 – 10].

Obviously depends on factors such as our well the search is done and how the evidence is produced.

/*******************************************************************/

Although I know if MJ is guilty or not, I will keep my personal opinions with me for the mean time. We don’t know if MJ is guilty or not. The home of the accuser was not searched for evidence, so we will not concern ourselves with Scenario 3 & Scenario 4. Scenario 1 & Scenario 2 will be of more use to us. Since MJ was searched, while the accuser wasn’t, this gives him big disadvantage already.

Since MJ was found innocent in spite of being rigorously searched for evidence, it means that there is a 75% chance that MJ is TRULY innocent. Scenario 3 or Scenario 4 would have given MJ a 50-50 which would have brought us closer to the truth because evidence will come from both sides. The sides should fit like a puzzle since there is only 1 truth.

/*******************************************************************/

If you r smart you will know that -

- Just because he paid off a settlement doesn’t mean he's guilty. We all react 2 things differently. That’s why MJ is the ****superstar*** he is & u haters r where u are.

- Just because he shares his bed with kids doesn’t mean any sexual notations are involved. I wonder how many people know very much about the chandler(1993) case, especially those who say he's guilty!

/*******************************************************************/

All the haters out there are either COWARDS or FOOLS. Believe me, I meet people exactly like these folks. They don't get very far.

Lastly, innocent till proven guilty. {Think be4 u talk/post}

I disagree with you on that one. His fixation with children and those child molestation allegations against him have significantly damaged his reputation and his music career.

MJ was not proven innocent! The jury found that there was not sufficient evidence to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that he was guilty. They delivered the only other verdict they were allowed--not guilty. Not being able to prove his guilt one hundred percent is a far, far cry from being innocent.

What MJ's supporters will gladly gloss over, is the fact that this was deliberated before this went to trial. It was considered at the time that there was sufficient evidence against him to go to trial. Again, if he was truly innocent, it would never have gone to trial in the first place.

The man is anything but innocent--they just didn't have enough to pin on him to make it stick beyond all reasonable doubt.

I do hope Michael Jackson lost so much money from this thing that he has to sell the beatles album and hopefully Paul McCartney can buy them.

Given that most Beetles albums can be picked up for less than a tenner, he isn't going to get very much is he..... ;)

Why on earth would you want 'smug' McCartney to buy them? Sony own the other half so they will out bid anyone else.

So prison food isn't that bad then?

I think Michael Jackson could well be a good candidate for future Deathlists. It's been a while since he has been an "entertainer", as opposed to simply whining and crying on television. I wonder what his occupation should be listed as..

I find it to be appropriate for the artists who made the music to own their music.

You're dead right. I hope Yoko Ono gets her rightful half.

I say it should be divided equally among the surviving members of the Beatles. As for Yoko, she was more of a detriment than a help to that group and contributed to its breakup.

Michael Jackson is "at peace" after the sensational conclusion of his child abuse trial, his brother Jermaine has said.

In an interview on US television, Jermaine Jackson told of how his brother was recovering, and that it was time to "rejoice for the family".

When asked about about his brother's eating habits, he said Michael "was eating sandwiches and things like that but it was just very tough".

Jermaine admitted that the family was worried about Michael's safety, and said that he would not be surprised if his brother left the country.

He said: "We've always had a love for other places outside the US.

"I would be right with him."

"Now that Michael's been vindicated, we all have to be careful... you never know what someone's plotting and planning."

Jermaine said he did not know if Michael would be doing any interviews, saying: "I'm pretty sure he's just looking to rest. That's what's most important, to rest and get his mind back and focus on being a person - nothing about doing this or doing that but just resting."

He can't afford fresh bread anymore? Tough indeed.
