Lard Bazaar 3,799 Posted August 28, 2007 Sevilla and Spanish International Defender Antonio Puerta has died after the heart attack he had at the weekend. Only 22 and all. I'm not much of a football fan and had never heard of this guy, but still it is a shocking one.
Octopus of Odstock 2,194 Posted August 28, 2007 Hans Reusch, Swiss racing driver, animal activist and DDP selection of our own aquatic deathlister has died, but no English, never mind UK, obit for him yet. As a side note, one player on the upcoming CPDP had picked both Barre and Reusch, making this their second premature hit for next years competition! Give it time, CP, I expect hope for a broadsheet obit soon. Yes, two premature hits, dammit. Tis always the way.... I shouldn´t be surprised about Ruesch, a GP driver always seems to die on holiday (on which I am still on)

I'd got Barre for my theme team. But the two above is uncanny, does this psychic want to reveal him/herself?

I probably should have known that. Given that I did a course on French/German comparative politics...

VSBfromH 74 Posted August 29, 2007 Sevilla and Spanish International Defender Antonio Puerta has died after the heart attack he had at the weekend. Only 22 and all. And another international footballer has died: Zambia's Nsofwa dies in Israel "Nsofwa was part of the Zambia squad at the 2002 African Cup of Nations in Mali and last year had helped the Chipolopolo win the Cosafa Cup, scoring one of the goals in the final 2-0 win over Angola." I'll grant you he's not a household name (except in Zambia and a small part of Israel perhaps), but I thought it was worth noting here given Puerta's unfortunate demise and last night's news of Clive Clarke's near-death experience.
