Phantom 2,536 Posted February 11, 2016 This was my first car. A 1993 Plymouth Sundance. I inherited it from my wife's great uncle who had his license revoked because he failed the sight test when he went to renew his license. He used it to drive the few miles to the shops every day, so it barely had more than 10,000 miles on the clock even though it was almost 15 years old when I got it. En Passant 3,743 Posted February 11, 2016 Deeper red? Now that's just boys and girls for you, I'd have been like, bugger, the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
charon 4,943 Posted February 11, 2016 I start my 50th year in, oh, call it 3 1/2 hours. I haven't had a wage since the last week of July, and refused benefits then. The car was due its mot in September. Insurance is due. Can go back to my old job , for a pay cut, in March. Box of wine has about half left. One ciggie left in pack then it's roll ups. Why in 'room lovely '? Because I am happy. First time in a decade I've a lovely house, my dog loves me and the World is 'pink'. Happiness >>>>> ££££"
Cat O'Falk 3,290 Posted February 11, 2016 One year on from the fizzped, at the age of 17 I sold it and bought a seven year old 1259 cc white Vauxhall Viva HB. Disc brakes all round. They wouldn't let you park cars in the bike shed at school so you had to park it on a nearby public road and walk.

charon 4,943 Posted February 11, 2016 Cheers Ach it's part of my rant against Dr Zyklon . I had a big relationship blow up in 2006. Two houses etc. Walked away with a rucksack, tent, my dog and £80 quid. So to hear him whine like the little hoor he is amuses me, he knows shit about life or indeed, Halibuts , or his mum, or his sister , of anything outside his comfort zone. For a wee Nazi bastard, he'd be straight into the Trade Unions. The Socialist part I suppose...

RandomCanadian 105 Posted February 12, 2016 My first car was a 1986 Toyota Tercel hatchback with an after market Speedy Auto Glass sunroof. It wasn't conducive for shagging but that never stopped me. I sold her 1991 and used the money for a down payment on my first apartment.

Rotten Ali 600 Posted February 12, 2016 1979 Mini Clubman. 1098cc. Purchased in the spring of 1983 for £1500. Would latter get wheel spacers, alloy wheels and Dunlop 7 inch wide tyres. Ran her till mid 1990, when "Pam's" engine finally lapsed onto three cylinders.
