Fernanda Casiraghi, the ex-mother-in-law of Princess Caroline, has died.  She was 99.

(German language obit)

There was no split, Stefano died, so I wouldn't describe her as "ex".  She was still Caroline's mother-in-law and the grandmother of her children. The article describes them as being close.

Its very odd and surprising that her mother and Otto wife Hope Bryce (IMDb) died off radar some years ago, I've already update it.
