Come on. Even though we're not breaking the record, our eighth hit should be very soon

He's been pulling this stuff out at least three times this year. He'll recover and go back to the vegetable that he has always been.

As a player who has thought he would go before, I have to say that this is the genuine article. He'll be gone within a month, probably sooner.

Tough to tell with him but I do find it curious the palace reports him as unstable. Wasn't the case in the past that they always waited till he was on the mend (relatively speaking) to make an official announcement?

you're right. They are preparing the public for news of his death, probably within days.

Apart from the esteemed International Business Times, it seems to have gone quiet again. NYT reports several people had gathered outside the hospital. Probably a few Thais with excess stocks of incense.

Another news article about the king, this time from the business insider. Claims that there will be a political crisis once he dies: http://www.businessinsider.com/thai-king-bhumibol-badly-ill-poses-risk-to-economy-2016-10

Aye, they're a bit out of practice changing heads of state out there, eh?

This is finally it ! The prince of Thailand and heir appararent is visiting him now as fears grow for his health and stock markets plummet .Looks like a 'final goodbye'. The Prince would not be visiting unless they thought he was very close to death. Also the Thai PM has cancelled all official duties and rushed back to the hospital. We could be talking hours now... http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2016/10/12/thai-prince-visit-ailing-king-hospital-says-health-fears-grow

If anyone is planning to attend the funeral I believe the rule is you can't get in without a Thai!

It seems these are historic and tense hours ahead for Thailand ..http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/reuters/crowd-gathers-to-pray-for-hospitalised-thai-king--pm-to-meet-prince/42511596

There's been rumours of his death flying around for the past few hours. Nothing official yet, naturally.

If he could hold off for a few more hours it would be appreciated as the unlucky 13 bonus kicks in on the DDP!!

There has just been the first official update on his health since sunday- and it's not looking good .He is still in an 'unstable' condition .His liver and kidneys are failing and he's on a ventilator. Also his blood pressure is dangerously low. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-37634077

Maybe someone with some medical knowledge can guess how long he can hold on in that condition ? Looks to me like it's medical jargon for saying he's dying.
